Etnies Plus presents a very solid Fall ‘08 collection. The brand uses a lot of brown and beige tones in the new line and also introduces some interesting casual new styles. As usual they use lots of premium materials on the shoes and they also have a collaboration project in the new collection. 
This time they did not work on a sneaker collaboration, but worked with UK retailer Oi Polloi on a t-shirt.

Etnies Plus offers since its inception an interesting alternative to the big sneaker companies. Innovative styles, colors and materials set the brand apart from the rest of the market.
The complete Spring/Sumer 2008 collection has now arrived at Overkill.

Born in Japan and based in Vancouver, Canada, Kenta runs a design company called Write-Left.  The portfolio encompasses graphic design, interior design and Write-Left product.  Kenta and a friend also run Brknhome, a t-shirt brand known for bold graphic designs.  Regardless of what he is working on, Kenta’s aesthetic is an infusion of Japanese simplicity and detail with American classic and boldness.
Etnies Plus got together with Write-Left to work on two shoes and also matching t-shirts. The collection will be released this Spring season.

Recently we showed you the Etnies Plus Spring ‘08 collection, here we present you now the Laser Collection that is also part of it. The collection overall consists of four models from the Etnies Plus range. The richly decorative, ornamental brocade-inspired pattern is precisely laser-etched in rich and soft black full grain leather, giving the shoe nice intricate details without overwhelming the overall style.
Expect these to be available at Etnies Plus stores soon.

We already gave you a look at the Etnies Plus x Fucking Awesome collaboration out of the new Etnies Plus Spring/Summer 2008 collection, here now a taste of the rest of the collection.
Last season it seemed like the brand was going a more subtle route, but for Spring/Summer they actually present a quite balanced collection, that both serves to the subtle customer and the one that is looking for something a bit more special and colorful.

It has been very quite around Fucking Awesome for a while now, with no new collections releasing for the past two seasons. They are back now with a Etnies Plus collaboration sneakers.
The mid-top sneaker comes in all black and has “Fucking Awesome” going all around the heel. Just we are used from the brand, the simple inclusion of their brand name on the sneaker in this large format, makes quite the statement. No word on the release, but we expect it to be soon. A long time ago we reported about this collaboration and now it finally got released at Sold Out. The Swiss graphic design  team and fashion brand, Plus41, designed two sneakers for the Etnies Plus collection and applied their iconic graphics to the upper of the shoes and mixed them with a nice choice of high end materials. Both models have now been released in limited quantities!

Etnies Plus got together with design group Write-Left to design a really nice pack. The collab features two models, the Pablo and the Junior and is accompanied by two co-branded tees, marking a strong upcoming year for the more tailored, lifestyle focus of Etnies Plus. We have shown you the new Etnies Plus Fall 2007 collection last week and this collaboration ties is very nicely with what we have seen so far. Subtle and smart designs, overall very solid. Last week we gave you a first look at the Etnies Plus Fall 2007 collection – a small part of it. The few sneakers that we showed could already show you the direction of the new collections.
The Etnies Plus Fall 2007 collection brings exciting footwear – some very subtle styles and others more special. Overall the collection stays very subtle in terms of colorways though – every sneaker is presented in grey, brown, black and some also in white and khaki. Before we were used of popping colors by the brand. For some reason we like much more the way it looks now and finally the brand fills the gap that there were supposed to – a high-end sneaker line by Etnies.

Etnies Plus has proven to be a welcome addition in the sneaker market the past couple of years. Coming stronger every season, in the past they presented usually collections that had some screaming designs and functions. The new collection, at least from what we see so far, is very subtle and premium. Most sneakers in the new collection come in warm colors and concentrate on premium materials. So far it’s looking good and you should have some alternatives to the big players in the coming months.
