etnies califas holiday 2011 1 Etnies Califas Boot Holiday 2011

Fall is here, at least I think it is. It’s feeling kind of summer-like still here out in the western part of the US today, but here is a little something in terms of fall footwear, or in this case, holiday. Originally released as a collaboration with The Lovewright Company, then revisited with recently with Mighty Healthy, the Califas boot has now worked its way into the Etnies line. This iteration of the boot is done up proper with with an upper comprised of Wolverine Leather’s “Gibraltar”, which is an oiled pigskin nubuck. In addition to looking buttery soft, it is water resistant, so a level of protection against wetness is existent. Other highlights include an Ortholite footbed and a Vibram outsole all making for one well-rounded release. Look for these to start hitting retailers soon.

Take a deeper look after the jump.

Etnies 'The Next 25' Collection

Etnies celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, which is certainly worth celebrating. For the occasion, Etnies founder Pierre André Senizergues presents ‘The Next 25′ Collection of limited edition footwear. Unlike most other Etnies footwear, ‘The Next 25′ range takes a look at the future, both in terms of design and in terms of materials. Seamless uppers meet laser engraved graphics and an overall subtle take on design. The collection consists of the Senix Hero, Senix Venture and the Senix Ville. A release is scheduled for 6/13 at colette (storeguide). Other select retailers will receive the shoe on 6/20.

Check out the footwear line-up after the jump.

Мишка x Etnies Rap High

Mishka NYC offers a look into a collaborative pair of blue suede Etnies Rap Highs. We’ll let them tell the story. “So what the hell is the deal with these kicks you ask? Well they were done as a promotional piece (only 2 pairs were produced) for the party between ourselves, SEEN of the Etnies classic Rap High model. I think everyone had the full intention of going into production with these until we were hit with the unfortunate news that Etnies could no longer produce the sole that was needed for this model.” These may or may not still come to pass. Would you like to see these made?

Video: Etnies Presents - The Ed Banger 7 Series

In other Ed Banger Records news (after the new Uffie video release this morning), the Parisian label teams up with Etnies and Konbini.

“2010 is a big year for the epic label Ed Banger Records. Not only does this year mark the labels 7th anniversary, but also the peak of their worldwide domination of the electronic music scene. With the release of Uffieʼs long awaited album and Breakbotʼs groundbreaking debut EP Baby Iʼm Yours, it is not just in Europe that Ed Rec is making its mark. From Los Angeles to Tokyo, Ed Rec mania is taking over. To mark this symbolic birthday, Ed Banger organized a huge week-end of celebration in NYC featuring the artists that have contributed in making the label a household name: Justice, Uffie, Busy P, DJ Medhi, SoMe, Sebastian, Breakbot, Feadz.

Konbini, the internets most creative and forward-thinking Web TV has captured this unique event in electro music history in an exclusive web-documentary to be released worldwide in June 2010 only on Konbini.com and Etnies.com : THE ED BANGER 7. To create a weeklong event around the program, and to respond to the high level of enthusiasm from the fanbase, the 7 episodes of THE ED BANGER 7 will be released over one week, one episode a day from June 23rd to June 30th 2010, then available to watch and re-watch online for free on Etniesʼ website and Konbini.com. The documentary features the whole Ed Banger crew as they discover New York, the American club scene and are exposed to their rising success in the U.S. The series focalizes on real-life scenes and the chaotic and fun-filled lifestyle of professional DJʼs.”
