Set for a Holiday 2010 release, the “Ednies” sneaker features tonal glove leather upper and accents. So Me provided the custom tongue and created one of the best and most inventive footbed graphics in recent memory. The shoe will be available at select accounts – Union LA and Reed Space in the US, Lanikai in Spain, High Time and Green in Italy, and French doors Colette and Street Machine.

We chatted with Pedro Winter (aka Busy P) and Pierre-Andre Senizergues (founder of etnies) about the nature of their friendship and how it came together in the form of a brand new sneaker.

Sharing a French background, record label Ed Banger and skate shoe brand etnies align on an entirely new silhouette, the “Ednies”. The shoe follows a slimline approach and comes in three premium leather makeups – monochrome red, black and white – each of which includes waxed laces and other tonal details. Tapping Ed Banger artistic director and well-known designer So Me, the sneakers are accented with a custom “Ednies” tongue tag alongside a highly-graphic insole. Look for these at select accounts come Holiday 210.

Through his latest PAS Collection, etnies founder Pierre-Andre Senizergues (PAS) celebrates the progression of skateboarding into it’s sixth decade and the growing number of skate dads that are now passing the torch along to their sons. As such, “the collection offers 3 adult styles with 3 complimentary toddler styles depicting the different stages Pierre-Andre has encountered in life”.

Red, white and blue for his French roots and the simplistic new generation; metallic hues to reflect the future and the past; and wrinkled, aged leather mixed with soft nubuck to represent the father and the son. These styles are available now at Beams in Japan.

etnies teams up with malt liquor kings Colt 45 on a pair of kicks. Rad Collector has the story. “Aww man, Colt 45 has come a long way since Billy Dee. You may have heard about the super limited Colt 45 x etnies collabo shoe a lil while back, but you probably didn’t get a pair in the mail complete with a tall boy 45 in the box. That’s classic! As part of Riviera’s Design Series Casa Surf Project, Eve Lowey of Studio Chameleon joined forces with former world champion skateboarder and owner of etnies Pierre Andre Senizergues on a signature Skate Room. Hailing back to its roots in skateboarding and all that encompasses the culture, the movement, curves and shapes in the design of the room reflect the passion of etnies.

Highlights include the Chicken’s bowl sink, shoe scrap headboard, reversed shadow box wheel mirror, skate free mini bar, “Graffiti Malibu” art piece and an original art creation by Mike Manzoori titled “It’s Not Where You’re Going, It’s How You Get There.” The room also offers an eco twist on design, reviving discarded items and ultimately spreading a message of lightening your eco impact, one footprint at a time.

The ocean view hotel room is located in Laguna Beach, California in Casa Del Camino Hotel, and will open to rent starting this weekend. And that’s not all. For the first year of room rentals, La Casa Del Camino Hotel is giving a portion of the room rate to etnies charity of choice: Global Green, USA. Go PAS!

We get a first look at an upcoming collaboration between Freshjive and etnies Plus. The two brands worked on a rather simple black leather mid top sneaker. The sneaker features the Freshjive tag on the tongue. For a little more background information on the project, check out the recent interview with Rick Klotz, over at SneakerFreaker.

Etnies and Ed Banger Records got together on a collaborative sneaker, as we have learned from the Etnies people at the Outerspace tradeshow. The sneaker is in its final design stages and could therefore not be shown yet. After Eastpak and several other interesting product collaborations, the outcome of this sneaker should also be interesting. You can be sure that we will show you more in the near future.

For the World Environmental Day, Etnies has created a special collection of sneakers. The line-up includes the Senix Low model, which comes in a variety of styles and colorways, using only environmental friendly materials in the production process.

“For June 5th – World Environmental Day, etnies have teamed with Parisian boutique Colette (aka. Your favourite retailer’s favourite retailer) to release five very special Senix Low remixes, bringing it all together in eyecatching style. Forget some of the more half-hearted attempts to ride the hydro-electricity wave of ecological goodwill. These are the first shoes from etnies that can boast carbon neutral status, and from the deliberately gaudy to more minimal block colours, each makeup carries its own conscious theme.”

The re-introduced Sal23 sneaker by Etnies, designed by Sal Barbier, also returns for Summer 2009. This time the subtle sneaker comes in a solid light blue colorway, of course proudly carrying the “23″ embroidery. Look out for these at better skate stores.

After a first preview a while ago, we can now present you the complete line-up of the Etnies Plus x Disney Spring 2009 collection.

The etnies x Disney Co:Labs high-top Upsetter and lo-top Sly for the men’s collection feature images of classic Disney cartoons such as Evil Lord and Mickey Mouse. The Fantasia collection chronicles the famous “Night on Bald Mountain” cartoon which is based on a Slavic myth about spirits in the night. Both the Sly and Upsetter shoes draw inspiration from this legend with use of dark grey and black base colors, hinted by shades of bright purple. The Plane Crazy collection features the Sly 2 and Upsetter shoes in brown and tan tones, which is pulled from the infamous Mickey Mouse cartoon in which he tries to mimic the flying adventures of Charles Lindbergh.

The etnies x Disney Co:Labs collection for women consists of the Zanza shoe embellished with images of Tinkerbell and the cult classic film Fantasia. The Tinkerbell shoe is the ultimate female indulgence, portraying one of Disney’s most beloved and sassy characters, lined with gold leather.
