Artist and designer Evan Hecox displays his fascination with the urban landscape on Incase products for the sixth installment of Curated by Arkitip. Available today , the Evan Hecox series has been issued in three limited editions: London, New York and Tokyo. As the project’s first artist to present a series of products, Hecox brings to life nontraditional depictions of the famed cities and their associated national emblems on our signature MacBook Sleeve and iPhone Slider Case.

Drawing inspiration from the complexity of the modern metropolis, Hecox’s stylistic approach is based on the process of amplification as it affects form and color: breaking down the image, removing certain elements and emphasizing others. In his original artistry for Curated by Arkitip, Hecox filters the mundane into captivating illustrations of London, New York and Tokyo seemingly filled with narratives beyond the images themselves, and applies them to MacBook Sleeves. The Hecox Slider Cases complement the three Sleeves, bearing instantly recognizable national symbols of the three cities. Hecox re-imagined the symbols through his stylistic approach, resulting in artistic interpretations that are both familiar and new.

We get a first look at the next chapter of the Curated by Arkitip series. This time they got together with artist Evan Hecox and the artist’s stencil designs ended up on laptop cases and more. Soon we will be able to show you the complete project.

Celebrating the opening of the new Ace Hotel Palm Springs, they have worked with Arkitip and artist Evan Hecox, who created a series of silk screen prints, around the topic of Palm Springs. Not only do the works hang in the rooms of the new hotel, but you are also able to buy them right off of the wall.

“Evan Hecox bases his work on his observations of urban environments and the people that inhabit them, combining the eye of a photographer with his love of drawing, painting and printmaking. Hecox spent a week photographing the Palm Springs area, and drew upon those images and experiences to create the body of work that is exhibited at Ace Hotel.

In taking on Palm Springs as subject matter he embraces a more organic side of his aesthetic, combining architectural forms with the unique desert landscape of the area. His attraction to old signage, vintage cars and other bits of fading American culture is perfectly suited to capturing Palm Springs. Through this series of prints he finds both the picturesque aspects and the seedier side of this unusual desert world.” Via Arkitip.

Ace Hotels, no doubt, have had their fare share of touting as coolest new chain in the business. With the Palm Springs outpost opening this winter, Ace has teamed with Evan Hecox for some exclusive limited edition prints. Hecox conjures a feeling of 1960s resort cocktail hour for the work, which will only be available at the hotel. Arktip will helm the printing.

We first presented you this new eS x Justin Eldridge x Evan Hecox collaboration a couple of weeks ago. Here now some better images as we get to the release. The signature Chocolate sneaker comes in light grey suede with the Chocolate logo on the strap.

eS footwear got together with Justin Eldridge to work on a Chocolate version of their Theory 1.5 sneaker. Designed by artist Evan Hecox the outcome is a very clean sneaker in grey suede with subtle hits of artwork. The Chocolate logo appears subtle on the strap. You can win the sneaker right now here.

New from Arktip is a limited print from Evan Hecox. Based in San Francisco, Hecox specializes in graphics for posters, skateboards and the music industry. “Chinatown Numbers,” comes framed or unframed and is printed in four colors on neenah environment paper.

Artist Evan Hecox has released his latest print, entitled "Berlin Tower". The five color screenprint shows a scene out of Berlin Mitte life.

It is now available in the Arkitiponline store and can be pre-ordered for 125 USD. The print is limited to 200 pieces and will be shipping as of September 21rst.
