Mu Gallery never disappoints with their exhibitions. In recent years they hosted a number of really interesting artist exhibition, including Kaws, more recently The Changes and now Danish designer Henrik Vibskov opened his show there.
In a forest of hanging sticks, Danish designer, artist, and drummer Henrik Vibskov creates three worlds at MU this winter. Each world refers to one of the many attention-arousing performances with which he over the past couple of years has presented his collections in Paris and in other cities all over the world.
Usually, Vibskov’s surreal dream worlds are only inhabited by models wearing his creations. Lying down among hundreds of breasts on sticks, wandering across the black carrot fields, or music-cycling in the Fantabulous Bicycle Music Factory. At MU, however, it’s the audience that are given the chance to lose themselves in Vibskov’s universe entitled The Visit.
Luckily, our friends from Ontour, passed by the exhibition and therefore we can take a nice look at the worlds that the artist created.

We came acros some images of the new Yone x Zippo exhibition, that took place in Taiwan. The Japanese photographer worked with Zippo and model Yuki Maomi. The artist did not use the Zippo like we are used to see, with engravements, he actually printed his photos on the upper. The outcome is a huge amount of Zippo lighters, displaying his artwork. From December 19 until January 30, 2009, Philadelphia’s 222 Gallery hosts GROUP SHOW. Some big, alongside some small, names appear. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9-5 PM, and the location is 222 Vine Street, Philadelphia, PA.
The description from the gallery reveals some of the intent and excitement that makes GROUP SHOW:
This exhibition plays off the pretentious nature of the group show, which over time has grown to be ubiquitous, all encompassing, prolific, and aspiring to be bigger and better with every manifestation. By exaggerating the title, and striving to showcase the variety of talent within our company’s expanding, bi-coastal network (primarily the talent present in Philadelphia), GROUP SHOW will overwhelm the visitor through walls packed with art in the salon-style, showing up to 3 works from established and emerging artists, including Ryan Beck, Maureen Duffy, David Ellis, Emily Erb, John Freeborn, Futura, Ryan McGinness, Diana Meaker, Todd St. John, Jeffrey Stockbridge, Trā Sipple, and many more.

We had the pleasure of checking out the Coarse Toys exhibition right before the opening today. Most of you should be familiar with the Hong Kong based premium toy makers. With most of their toys being handmade in very limited quantities, Coarse sets a standard for the market and keeps on impressing us.
Similar to their recent exhibition in Chicago, Coarse shows their latest figures at the 4010 store in Berlin Mitte from tonight. A couple of new characters joined the exhibition since Chicago and they are definitely worth checking out. You can see and feel the craftsmanship involved in each toy, which makes it a much better experience. When you sometimes feel like the designer toy movement has been too explored in recent years, Coarse brings it back to what it used to be.
Aside from checking out the exhibition, you can also purchase Coarse t-shirts and a couple of other accessories. Our favorite, the large Shark toy unfortunately goes for 15′000 USD. It is limited to only five pieces worldwide and handmade. In case you have some cash left over, you might want to consider.
Now head on after the jump to check out the complete Coarse Toys Exhibition.
