Maiden Noir is a brand that we have followed from its very beginnings and it gets stronger from season to season. Part of the appeal is for sure still the fact, that it is a brand that is not easy to get hold of, as only a handful of accounts around the world carry it for the moment.

We present you the latest releases from Japanese brand Resonate. As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection they present new denim, matching denim jackets, corduroy pants and vests with fur lining, quilted shirts, longsleeve t-shirts and western check shirts (here above).

There was a time just about two years ago, when we could not see Bape anymore. It was all over the place and got most of its coverage because of the all-over print pieces that they produced, that were so loud in terms of design, one could see them from a mile away.

Recently we are looking again more often at the brand, because at its core, it still produces goods in a quality that is hardly met by any western brands in this category. After more than ten years in the game we also still love the Bape head logo design and when applied in the right way it looks great on many pieces. A nice classic Bape shirt with just a small Bape head logo on the chest is never wrong.

All that said, the new Bape collections feature again some more subtle pieces, that stand out because of quality, rather than wild color combinations. Here we show you some of their Fall/Winter 2008 jackets that we liked. Nice plaid patterns, or solid colors – all applied on classic silhouettes with minimal branding. These jackets are now available at Bape stores worldwide.

Once again a new series of Visvim product is getting into stores. This drop includes the C.Pollard Insulator jacket in brown and black, with yellow lining. Its a great jacket, that already appeared in previous collections.

Furthermore there are the Shigatse Stripe Shirt, Corduroy Mess Pants, and the popular Visvim wallet returns, this time in oiled suede in overall five colorways. A nice wool beanie, the Isle beanie, was also in this drop, in overall three colorways.

A nice series of jackets out of the Original Fake Fall/Winter 2008 collection has been released. Their popular Gore-Tex jacket has returned this season, after being one ofthe most popular pieces in past seasons. Once again it comes in black and features on the zippers a subtle Kaws Chompers teeth design.

Furthermore they have released a lightweight jacket with mesh lining, that just like the Gore-Tex jacket also features Kaws Chompers zippers.

Both the Gore-Tex jacket and the lightweight Fall jacket are now available in two colorways at L’Intrus.

Japanese brand Ubiq has released their latest model in their Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The Ilis comes this time in white, purple and black. They kept an overall classic look on it, featuring leather/suede uppers and a clean white sole.

FUCT continues to impress, especially with their Japan made goods. This season the brand introduces the SSDD collection. So far it seems to only consist of a denim shirt and cargo pants. Hopefully there is more to come.

After giving you a look at the Y-3 Hayworth II Mid yesterday, we take a closer look at the new Y-3 Fall/Winter 2008 footwear collection. 

In general the brand has nicely evolved. Do you remember a couple of years ago the first collections? Super colorful, using glitter, neon colors and other crazy materials on the range. In the meantime they have finally started taking their high end appeal more serious and concentrate on providing solid styles with premium materials. Also their mid and high top sneakers have especially nicely evolved, something we do not only see at Y-3, but also on other brands, such as Supra.

The fall/winter 2008 collection from Lagom brilliantly uses asymmetry and line to turn relatively plain garments into striking pieces. Their jackets most clearly showcase this winning feature, but close looks at their t-shirts reveal an interest in spicing up the mundane. Included in the collection are chinos, jeans, tees and several jackets. All are distinctive.

The latest pieces out of the Visvim Fall/Winter 2008 collection have been released in Japan. This latest drop consists of a new Deckhand Jacket, which features nice leather details and a fur lining. Also a new set of patchwork striped shirts, carpenter pants and denim was released.
