Starring Erik Andersson and Alice Dellal, the new Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012 Campaign has been shot by none other than Juergen Teller in his signature style. Bright colors, lots of patterns and great color blocking, give the collection a refreshing look with a distinct 70s touch.

The eccentric Karl Lagerfeld has again made news with the opening of a pop up shop called KARL dedicated to, who other than, himself. As you can see from the image, you can pick up a charm featuring a depiction of his face with dark shades and all. Also available is the new line bearing the same name as the store. Spring/Summer 2012 collections are filtering into retail locations, both in store and online, including some new drops from Original Fake. A nice array of items have freshly released including some stuff you would expect like graphic tees, “X” eyes patterned pieces, hoodies, jackets and pants. CLOT continues to work with Japanese artist Madsaki on their Alienegra design pieces. For Spring 2012 they have also brought Brooklyn artist Kaws into the mix and he added his signature cross eye ‘X’ design to the existing design by Madsaki, resulting in a very vibrant overall look. The parka hoodie will be released on February 10th, 2012, at Juice stores.

You can always count on wings + horns for solid collections season after season. The Canadian contemporary menswear brand’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is now hitting retailers and here is a look at some items available now. We don’t see anything out of the ordinary from w+h, but that’s not a bad thing. The collection consists of solid pieces like trousers, corduroy pants, chinos, oxfords, knits, blazers and one of the brand’s best offerings, their loop terry fleeces. The new releases are now available at Roden Gray.

A couple of jackets from Deluxe’s Spring/Summer 2012 “Rum & Sugar” collection, which we have previewed extensively here. Two jackets have dropped including the Sun Shower hooded parka and the Bench Rider jacket. Each one comes in three great colors. There’s the safe route with black in each style, but also some great colors such as some really nice blues, green, and yellow. We’re really feeling both jackets in the blue colors. What do you guys think of the color palette used here? If interested, Bridge Tokyo has them both.

Recently GQ passed by Pharrell’s studio in Miami and sat down with the musician to talk about his upcoming projects – being a consultant for the Oscars, working with shoe designer Mark McNairy, releasing his book ‘Places & Spaces I’ve Been’. They also touch on the upcoming Billionaire Girls Club line and him working on ‘Glory’, the song that Jay-Z dedicated to his daughter.

“GQ: On Rick Ross’ Rich Forever mixtape you rap, “Black boy scoring his life/ I’m scoring the Oscars.” How excited are you for this opportunity—especially since you’re still essentially a music nerd from Virginia who made it big.
Pharrell: I’m just very thankful. And I say that a lot because that’s the most important message. I answer questions the best I can. But most of the answers usually feel the same. And that’s just me being very appreciative of the opportunity, because, like you said, I’m from Virginia Beach, VA. I’m glad that I can exhibit what we can do.

GQ: Academy rules won’t allow you to say what your current favorites are, but what are some of your choice Hans Zimmer-scored movies? He’s done plenty and won an Oscar for The Lion King.
Pharrell: The Dark Knight music was genius! I mean, Gladiator was great. Pirates [of the Caribbean] was great. But Dark Knight? That was, like, a whole different level of…

GQ: Film music?
Pharrell: Yeah!

GQ: Tell me about your upcoming travel book, Places & Spaces I’ve Been.
Pharrell: It’s just things and people that have moved me and inspired me around the world and that I am also honored to know.

GQ: You’re working on a new line of boots, right?
Pharrell: Yeah. We’re working on some boots for BBC [Billionaire Boys Club]. But I can’t really talk about it.

GQ: Well, speaking of BBC, you’re releasing a women’s line soon, BGC, right?
Pharrell: Yup! And it’s crazy!”

To celebrate La MJC’s 10th birthday, the Parisian collective joined forces with their Danish friends at Norse Projects create a special version of the infamous Elka raincoat. Totally waterproof and breathable, the jacket pays homage to the blue, red and white colors of the French flag and features four front pockets, a drawcord hood, breathable lining and adjustable cuffs. The jacket is a limited edition of 50 pieces, exclusive to Cool Cats, Norse Projects and colette.

Harlem rapper ASAP Rocky’s affinity for Black Scale garms has been well-documented across various videos and photoshoots, so it comes as no surprise that the San Francisco-based label has gifted the 23-year-old star with his own signature collection. Complex caught up with Black Scale’s MEGA and Alfred to learn more.

So the capsule collection was inspired by A$AP Rocky. Tell us more how he influenced the aesthetic of the collection.

Alfred: Rocky has been a fan of Black Scale since before we actually met. It just so happened that I was working the sales floor the day he decided to come in and purchase items for his video shoot for “Purple Swag.” He had a great energy and was a genuinely nice guy. The video dropped and the relationship continued to grow organically. The response was so overwhelming that it made sense to do a collabo. The design influences were taken from what the A$AP crew liked about Black Scale. I tried to integrate all the aesthetics that drew the crew to the brand, always keeping in mind that they should look good in it when they wear it.

The collection of sweats, tees and caps with be available through BLVCK SCVLE in March.

After having released a solid collaborative Capsule Collection for Fall/Winter 2011, Carhartt x uniform experiment are back together again on another set of goods for Spring/Summer 2012. The collection consists of revamped Carhartt pants, chambray shirts and a tote bag, all featuring special detailing and accents. Hitting uniform experiment shops in Japan in the coming weeks, and hopefully worldwide soon after.
