To our surprise Japanese brand FAT attended this season’s Bread & Butter Berlin tradeshow. The most interesting product in their booth was for sure the upcoming FAT Sport x Porter Luggage Collection. In like with the modern and sporty image that the line communicates they produced a series of different bags in different colorways, while overall concentrating on being functional and minimalistic. Logo placements have been kept to the minimum as well, only underlining once again the functional nature of the collection.

Fat Tokyo continues to widen their footwear offering in their collection. The brand first started introducing footwear last season and adds this season the Fatstar sneaker. Once again they get inspired by a classic, and bring out as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection a mid version of the famous Converse All Star, and gave it the name Fatstar. It comes in its first offering in black, white and turquoise.

For Spring 2009 Japanese brand FAT is introducing a new sneaker, after only having started with footwear last season. The 3Strap model comes in four colorways and features three velcro straps. It comes in white, red, blue and tan and is now available at Dedue.

Tokyo brand Fat is known for their collections – we have featured lots of items of the brand over the years. This February the brand will be launching a new sub-line – FAT Sports. It looks like this will be a brand that makes sports apparel with a more fashionable touch and just like we are used from them, with lots of color.

Japanese brand FAT has introduced several shoes this season, as part of their new collection. In fact it’s the first time the brand ventures into the footwear market at all. The latest model to release is the Gumbees. Clearly taking the iconic Wallabee silhouette, FAT remixes the classic in some strong colors and plays with a mix of leather and suede on the upper.

The FAT Gumbees come in four colorways and are now available at Dedue.

This season Japanese brand FAT has for the first time introduced footwear into their collection. Here we show you the FAT Foots, a canvas high top sneaker. It comes in a series of colorways and is now available at Dedue.

FAT Tokyo released some nice new messenger bags as part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The bags feature a partly woven upper and are otherwise kept pretty simple. They are now available in three colorways.

Every season Fat Tokyo presents a well designed and sourced collection. The quality is up there and the brand also regularly introduces innovative items. With the Fat Spot Items they introduce a series with specials that come outside of the regular seasonal products and here we present you the first drop.
Much like a lot of other Japanese brands, the main inspiration for Fat Tokyo comes from classic American clothing and as usual they take these classic pieces and change them in a way that you have never seen before. With this drop they release a series of stadium jackets. The jackets come in four colorways, have silver reflecting sleeves and of course the classic varsity lettering. Matching the jackets they also released jet caps in several colorways. The cap comes in premium cow leather, rich colors and a sophisticated finish. Via Honeyee.

Here we present you a preview of the FAT Fall/Winter 2007 collection. We often report about Japanese brands and some of them make it out of Japan. Fat is one of those brands that we have hardly come across outside of Japan, but we are hoping that they will make it.
The new collection looks very good. The title of the collection “On Point” says it all. A vast selection of jackets. Interestingly they also seem to have a good line-up of waxed jackets in the collection, which we have seen from several brands already coming this Fall season. They manage very well the mix of colors. Some outfits are classic, others super fresh and in strong colors – thus anybody should find something in there.
