Sneaker brand Feiyue and French fashion house agnès b. have teamed up on two sneakers for Spring 2012. Staying true to both brands, they present a simple, comfortable, yet easy to wear sneaker for every day wear. Featuring a mix of canvas and suede on the upper, the sneaker will release in two colorways and will retail for 66 USD at agnès b. stores in the US, starting February 2012.

Feiyue has partnered with Casio to create a package that mates vintage with modernity. The Feiyue retro A.S model, is adorned with characteristics of the classic Casio Illuminator, while Casio presents a watch engraved in the colors of both brands. For men , the “silver” box consists of a pair of mid-grey A.S and a silvery watch. Women can purchase a “gold” box consists of a pair of A.S with pastel yellow chevrons and a gold watch. Limited to 200 pairs, this collaboration will be available in selected shops in early December.

Feiyue invited French artist André to reinterpret their famous FE-LO tennis shoe in white canvas. In addition to the trademark pink accents and Mr. A logo, André produced his vision of Paris on the shoe’s insole and all over the box. Available starting October 1st. with only one point of sale per country – naturally colette has them for France. 250 pairs worldwide.

Shoe brand Feiyue aligns with artist Steph Cop on a limited release 10N28E sneaker. Designed in likeness of Steph’s Aro toy, the shoe is printed with abstract graphics in timeless colors. An exclusive Aro toy is packed in each box and comes in 5 colors – pink, green, blue, purple and gray. Available this September at select retailers. A corresponding Steph Cop sculpture show takes place at 0fr (storeguide) on September 14, 2010.

Sneaker brand Feiyue presents their latest artist collaboration. This time fine artist and designer Daubal worked on the canvas sneakers.

“Daubal studied fine art and graphic design in various universities, and has lived and worked in both Montreal and Amsterdam. As a freelance creative designer, she has done work for Colette Paris, Paul Smith, Wieden + Kennedy and Beams Japan.

She also experiments with textile as a 3 dimensional medium, or creates clothes under her name, without following any trends but using lots of second hand pieces since the beginning in 2001.

Daubal constantly collaborates with people and magazines mostly for experimental ideas, installation or art direction in related fields. Her website is one window for her work, and the place where to buy her unique pieces.”

American music label Ubiquity Records worked with classic Chinese footwear brand Feiyue on a pair of musically patterned high top sneakers. The shoe comes in two colorways – grey/white/lime and green on green. Looking like a September 2009 release.

Having previously worked with Comme des Garcons and Opening Ceremony, Brett Westfall’s art focused label Unholy Matrimony has collaborated with sneaker brand Feiyue on a wearable, custom shoe design. Made up of an all-black canvas upper, and mostly tonal details, the sneaker is subtly embellished with Unholy Matrimony’s pink mushroom logo. These lightweight, comfortable shoes are scheduled to hit retail in Spring/Summer 2010.

For those of you unfamiliar with Feiyue, the brand first appeared in the 1920s in Shanghai where it was worn by people of all classes. In 2006, the label was picked up by a team of French footwear enthusiasts who have blended their Western and international influences to create an open, diverse style. Feiyue literally means “Flying Forward.”

French sneaker brand Feiyue introduces for Fall/Winter 2009 their “Plain” sneaker in a series of colors. The brand has its roots in the canvas sneaker market and next season their “Plain” style will be coming in multiple color styles with tonal logo prints. The sneaker will be available at premium stores from July 2009.

Once again sneaker brand Feiyue got together with French luxury brand Celine. For Spring 2009 they worked on a hi top canvas sneaker, featuring a multicolor print, special collaborative tag and Celine lace locks.

Look out for the Feiyue x Celine sneakers this season at Celine flagship stores.

Feiyue is a brand with its roots in China and has in the mean time been taking over by the French. We have seen some nice collaborations by the brand in recent months and their Fall 2008 collection also offers some interesting styles. In the same spirit such as brands as Spring Court, Feiyue stands for sport heritage and subtle canvas sneakers.

As part of their Fall 2008 collection, the brand presents an updated version of their Celine collaboration sneaker. This time it comes as a mid top in black and white.
Furthermore they present the 6Tones sneaker, which features multicolor lace holes and branding. Also they got together with Harigata and Ques from the LCP United artist collective on two collaboration shoes.
Collaborations are good, but in our mind you have to be able to offer good product without a collaboration as well. Probably one of the best in the line-up is the simple Feiyue Hi – a solid canvas hi top sneaker.
