The Neckface Film | Trailer

18 November 2009, 12.55 | Posted in Uncategorized | No comments »

Today we hear first things about an upcoming Neckface Film. It seems like the artist stays busy after his recent very successful exhibition opening in Miami. Hee is currently working with Ty Evans on a film. Here you already get to see the trailer.

Evans recently told Slash Film that: “The Necface doc is super rough right now. I started filming Neck back in 2005. A lot has happened since then and there is a lot more to come. When I first started filming him I told him I want to film him for a long time span to capture his growth and everything that comes along with it. It is not coming out anytime soon. Maybe I’m half way? Maybe I’m just getting started? I have no clue. Neck is the illest guy out there and I’m psyched he picked me to tell his story.”

Check out the trailer here above. Enjoy!

Y-3 Spring/Summer 2009 Mood Film

04 March 2009, 18.10 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

adidas Y-3 Spring / Summer 2009 from adidas Fashion Group on Vimeo.

Over the course of the last couple of weeks we have shown you a good amount of new Spring/Summer 2009 product from the Y-3 collection. Here comes now a new mood film that has been produced around the collection.

“Y-3’s campaign for Spring/Summer 2009 disregards convention in favor of a fresh perspective on the world. It is a look at a synthetic reality, an exploration of people’s lives seen as a glimpse through the lens of omnipresent surveillance cameras. The accompanying Y-3 movie captures a mood of undiluted elegance, vibrancy and sophistication – the mood of Y-3. Filmed by Darren Lew with the creative direction of Doug Lloyd, it reveals the verve of the Y-3 lifestyle where high performance meets high fashion.”

All the credits of the film follow after the jump.

Alexander McQueen x Puma “Ghost” Promotional Film

03 March 2009, 12.20 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »
http://www.vman.com/wp-content/uploads/assets/video/puma.flv

Puma and Alexander McQueen continue their collaboration. For their new collection they have now produced this short film., entitled “Ghost”.

“The collaboration between the acclaimed British designer and the legendary German apparel brand is all about “power” and “inner force,” drawing inspiration from the griffin, the mythical creature with the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle, and the fierce elegance of sparring boxers. The latter reference is the subject of Ghost, a short promotional film directed by veteran music video guru Saam Farahmand that is now making the rounds online. The film, which features fighters attacking one another with the grace of ballerinas and a choir singing over low, booming drums as the Alexander McQueen and Puma logos appear, definitely has a stroke of the legendary, enhanced by its combination of slow-motion and high-speed cameras and its postproduction “ghosting” techniques.” Via Vman.
