Filson presented at Bread & Butter some beautiful upcoming Navajo wool lined colorful parkas from their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. It looks like Pendleton supplied the fabrics of the lining. The contrast of the outer and inner lining came out great and will make for a nice stand-out piece next season.

Selectism shares the Filson Black Label Collection for Autumn 2010.

After testing the market with a sample offering earlier this year in Italy, Filson is ready to unveil its Black Label for the domestic market this weekend. The line includes 12 pieces, all of which feature slimmer cuts, and refined tailoring throughout. The line features Filson’s first attempt at the color black, as well as a cutting edge denim jacket and waxed wool. The price points are incredibly reasonable when compared to other USA made wax and wool products on the heritage market, and will be available on Filson.com, and at select Barney’s, Urban Outfitters, and Hilton’s Tent City this week. The highly anticipated Filson for Vans Vault collection is beginning to trickle into retailers. Amongst the first to receive the pack is Bows & Arrows of Berkeley, CA. As shown previously, the classic Vans Sk8-Hi and Era received a Filson make over in premium brown bridle leather and heavy tan canvas. A matching rucksack accompanies the release, and at $212 USD will actually run you more than both pairs of shoes combined – but, as Filson says, “might as well have the best.”

Shortly after announcing their collaboration with Brooks Brothers on a Made in USA denim collection, Levi’s announces an upcoming line with Filson on men’s workwear and bags.

“The line includes iconic pieces from one brand’s assortment reimagined in fabrics from the partner brand, such as a Levi’s Trucker jacket fashioned from Filson’s signature oil-finish tin cloth or the Filson Cruiser jacket in Levi’s rigid denim. Bags include two tote styles and a small duffel. Prices in the collection range from $50 to $228.” Via WWD.

The collection will be available both at Levi’s stores and Filson retailers and will continue in Spring 2011.

Established in 1897, Pacific Northwest outfitter Filson began life building goods with a matter of need, purpose and survival. This Fall, the label collaborates with Californian skate brand Vans on a Sk8-Hi and matching rucksack in traditional Filson canvas and bridle leather. “Might as well have the best.”

The Filson + Apolis Philanthropist Briefcase comes from Apolis Activism’s desire to connect the hands that make a product to the hands that wear a product. Founded by the Parton brothers basing their production model on empowering people through opportunity instead of charity. The 17.5 oz rugged Ugandan canvas was sourced through the nonprofit organization – Invisible Children. Their Ugandan cotton initiative is working to rebuild Uganda’s textile industry by impacting the whole supply chain – farmer to manufacturer. Each briefcase is cut and sewn by the iconic 100 year old Seattle brand – CC Filson Co., using their heritage hardware and finishing passed down from generation to generation. This is Filson’s first official collaboration, limited run of 200 units numbered sequentially.

The Apolis Activism x Filson Philanthropist Briefcase is now available for pre-order from Context.

The much anticipated Filson For Urban Outfitters bags are now available. The heritage Seattle based brand produced a Zipper Tote Bag and Duffle Bag for Urban Outfitters, going for 129 USD and 205 USD. The bags can now be purchased from the Urban Outfitters online store.
