As part of their Fall 2008 collection, Undefeated presents a series of Fleece New Era Caps. The series consists of three caps, each featuring the Undefeated logo on the front and a small tonal U-Man embroidery on the side. The caps will be released at Undefeated Japan stores on November 1rst.

We present you the Acapulco Gold Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The New York brands has always understood well creating collections with strong messages, while keeping the design subtle and on point. That is also the case in their new Fall/Winter 2008 offering.

The collection consists of t-shirts, caps and skateboards. The t-shirt offering is large and each design comes in several colorways. T-Shirts and caps hind at housing names and their respective nicknames. Caps range from New Era caps to 5-panel caps and snapback caps, all looking very good this season. “Aurum”, the slogan featured on some New Era caps, is latin and stands for Gold, going along the on-going higher education theme of the brand. The skatedecks make as usual a strong statement, this season a take on the financial crisis with a nice addition of sarcasm to it.

As part of their second release of the Fall 2008 collection, 10.Deep presents a couple of new New Era caps. Two wool logo styles are available as well as the “New World Order” New Era cap. As usual, 10.Deep keeps it classic and on point also with the caps.

Once again Upper Playground has dropped their monthly New Era caps. This month they worked with artists Jeremy Fish and Dennis Kennedy. The line-up consists of three caps, overall with a good balance in design, featuring some more colorful louder pieces and more subtle and classic caps.

Hats, no doubt, are one of the most prominent fixtures in the streetwear universe. Like the t-shirt, caps find their way to most every line sheet and offer simple canvas for brand identity formation. While several types garner respect (from the mesh backed trucker to the 5-panel) the fitted is king. For style and comfort, hard to beat. Also, for shear availability of design space, its the most versatile.

With firm connection to baseball, the fitted hat also screams AMERICA. Not literally, obviously, but there is that undeniable connection. And so, the fitted hat serves as a great entry point for discussing a wonderful rising trend in the industry. Locally made product. Against the tide of globalization, some brands take pride in assuring that their goods are hand and American made, a throwback to traditional manufacture.

Being interested in both hats and American made things, I caught up with Brett Wiley from Estate LA. Estate makes fitted caps in Los Angeles, CA and works with some of the bigger names in action sports (as well as a few of your favorite streetwear brands). Brett and I discussed hats (no surprise), brand building and NASCAR. He was nice enough to allow me to fulfill a dream of conducting an interview via instant messenger. Along with the rest of the Estate crew, we began to answer some of my questions.

Twelve Bar has finally released their New Era caps. They come in premium suede on the upper and feature large 3D embroideries with the brands slogan. The cap comes in black and grey and is now available in their online store.

XLarge has released their latest set of New Era caps. Both come featuring an all-over Tiger Camo pattern. The front panels carry a 3D embroidery of the XLarge gorilla.

Blends sister store BTNC (Beatnic) is releasing this pack of New Era fitted caps on July 30th. They are made to represent the gold, silver, and bronze medals for the Olympics. This is the second new era for btnc with the first one being a gucci inspired hat released last year that sold out in minutes.

This season Rocksmith, the brand with its roots both in Tokyo and New York City, introduces their very first New Era caps. For the start they are offering a logo cap in two colorways and the "New Money" cap also in 2 colorways. 
The caps are now available at Leaders in Chicago.

DQM will soon be releasing New Era caps matching their Nike Blazer Hi Premiums that recently released. Overall they will be releasing 3 caps – purple, black and grey.
