The guys from Fixed Gear London have released the second issue of Fixed Magazine. Once again the issue contains lots of interesting articles and product, and is thus definitely worth checking out. Via Glltn.

Named for the Seattle fixed gear night started by Dustin Klein of Cadence Clothing, Fast Friday chronicles a year of the cities cycle scene. The documentary was directed by David Rowe and shows how track bike culture moves in the hilly, windy and rainy town.Touring with the Bicycle Film Festival, Fast Friday is also available online at the film’s site. Fixed gear biking seems to be all over the place at the moment and now shoe companies also start paying some more attention, developing footwear specifically for fixed gear riders. We present you the Vans 45LX "Fixed".
"From any other brand we’d roll our eyes at the inevitability of a cash-in, but when the makeups are as clean as this, they stand alone nicely on the merit of being a decent Summer shoe that bolsters something ever-fresh but disposable with the ballistic nylon, suede on the darker version, and nubuck on the off-white. Reflective material woven into the laces and applied to the old style heel logo offers some low-key get yourself seenisms, and it’s all very agreeable indeed." Via Crooked Tongues.
Vans presents a solid line-up, good features, while keeping the shoes simple and not making them to technical. Each shoe also comes with a matching saddle bag.

La Carrera and the United Front from Canada got together with legendary bicycle manufacturer Colnago to work on some special fixed gear bikes. Futura and Stash were a very obvious choice on this project bringing a great deal of credibility to the project from a street culture as well as from a bike messenger perspective. The blue frame was designed by Stash and the multicolor frame was designed by Futura.

Futura and Stash will hold exhibitions in Canada on the 17th of November in Toronto and some time in January in Vancouver.Expect to see around that time also the final fixed gear bikes out of this project! Pics via Matt George.
