The new F.I.L. Hiroshima store opened its doors this weekend, on August 30th, and marks yet the latest flagship store by Japanese brand Visvim. Once again the brand created a very minimalist space that is mostly white with a few details in wood.

Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles continues to grow as one of the major retail destinations in Los Angeles. Already today you find The Hundreds, Diamond Supply, Alife, Huf, Freshjive, Hall Of Fame, Turntable Lab and many others on Fairfax and the latest one to join is Keep Footwear.

Last night saw the opening of the 21 Mercer Nike Sportswear flagship store, the first permanent space of the Nike Sportswear collection. Our friends from Coolhunting did a nice video walk-through of the new space, which turned out quite incredible.

On August 22nd Nike will be opening a Sportswear flagship store at 21 Mercer Street in New York City. We have seen a lot of pop-up store openings, but this marks the first permanent store opening for the new Nike Sportswear collection, with hopefully more to follow.
Following the design direction that we have seen in other pop-up stores and events around the globe the new 21 Mercer store feature a lot of custom wood paneling and of course a fair share of product exclusives.

Nike is definitely serious with the recent addition of the Nike Sportswear collection. On the 8th of August, the day of the Beijing Olympics Opening, they will be opening a Nike Sportswear flagship store in New York City. It will be a dedicated, stand-along Nike Sportswear store and it seems like it is not a pop-up but a permanent store in Soho. There will be a series of pop-up stores, such as the ones at Opening Ceremy LA and NY , but this will be the only permanent store.

The next stage of the growth of Estate LA is set to begin in a few weeks. A new store front, located at 1821 Lincoln Blvd in Venice, CA. An online shop will complement the brick and mortar.

On April 19th Comme des Garcons has opened their latest retail location, in Beijing at Seasons Place. The store has a very minimalist design and also shows hints at the recently opened Hong Kong location in terms of looks.

The best US retail spots continue to be exported to Japan. We saw it happening since years with Supreme and Stussy and in recent years Undefeated, FTC, Flightclub and others also made the move to Tokyo. Now it was the time for Alife to open their first location there. After New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver, this marks the opening of the 4th Alife flagship store.
The new Alife Tokyo Flagship store is now open. In terms of interior design they took a different approach from their other stores and created a sleek interior made up of black colors and wooden floors.

On the 11th of April 2008 Sabre Vision opened its International concept showroom, DON’T PANIC, in Newport Beach. DON’T PANIC, open to the public, showcases limited edition styling, brand collaborations and Sabre apparel, all of which are available for purchase. With an all-black atmosphere, the dark feel to the space is broken by a unique water feature….a toilet fountain. Set to be an incubator for hard to find limited edition Sabre shades as well as a space for creative collaborations and the likes, DON’T PANIC is now open so if you’re in the area, come check it out:

We give you a first look inside the newly opened Kitsuné flagship store in Paris. The store carries the Kitsuné mens and womens collection, the Paris store only Richelieu collection, Kitsuné x Pierre Hardy footwear, Kitsuné x Schiesser underwear, James Heeley x Kitsuné candles and of course Kitsuné Music. I think this list makes it clear, that you have to stop by the shop on your next Paris trip.
