In time for fall we present a new fashion editorial. Entitled Sea Breeze, the spread perfectly illustrates the move from late summer to fall, featuring some of our favorite brands out there. Folk presents their latest range of footwear for Fall/Winter 2010. The UK brand presents several low, mid and high top styles for the new season. Next to their Armstrong mid top shoe, the Jamie boot is also a nice option for the colder days, featuring a suede upper and fur lining. The new footwear range is now availabel from Oki-Ni.

Our brothers at Selectism point out Folk’s latest belts. “It has become an almost annual tradition to remind people of the Folk Woven Belt series. Folk has released a fantastic handknit cardigan from their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Not only do we love the chunky knit of the cardigan and the leather elbow patches, but also the bright red colorway. The cardigan is now available at Oki-Ni.

Denim label Edwin worked with ‘old friends’ Folk (and their footwear label Shofolk) on a number of great pieces for the season.

The EF-62 Denim sees Folk take advantage of the Edwin denim archives to create their own regular fitting, straight leg jean from organic, lightweight denim, adding some distinctly ‘Folk’ design features.

On the footwear side, we see Shofolk’s classic Armstrong boot and Alaric shoe incorporate Edwin detailing and branding (Edwin denim heel detail and logo tab) to give a distinctive and original look. Features premium leather and suede uppers with leather lining and waxed cotton laces. Available for purchase from End.

In an interesting collaboration denim brand Edwin and UK shoe brand Folk get together for Spring/Summer 2010. The two brands worked on an entire range of low top and mid top shoes, complementing the Edwin “Maritime” Spring/Summer 2010 denim collection. The collaboration will also include an exclusive pair of denim by Edwin for Folk, that we can hopefully show you soon.

Next to leather shoes, the two brands also worked on shoes with an all denim upper. The first season (it is on-going) of the collaboration consists of three men’s styles and one women’s style. An exciting project to look forward to.

Here comes a first look at the Spring/Summer 2009 collection of Folk. The label has nicely developed and certainly found their own look in recent seasons. The new collection offers a great selection of shirts and especially knitwear, unseen like this from other brands out there.

The Folk Spring/Summer 2009 collection will only be released in March, but Oki-Ni put up a secret pre-order page that you can access here.

Folk and oki-ni have collaborated on an anniversary shirt to mark one year since their re-launch. This shirt has a narrow collar with hidden Folk branding detail on the tip. On the back there are two shoulder patches in a subtly contrasting check joined together by the Folk trademark white tab.
Only 50 pieces of this limited edition style have been produced and all of these are available exclusively at oki-ni.com.

First pieces of the Folk Clothing Autumn/Winter 2008 collection have been released at Hanon. The UK brand presents smart design and iterations to classics. We especially like the new shirts and also the woven belts.
