As part of the Freshjive Spring 2009 collection comes the “Piracy” New Era Cap. The upper is made of corduroy, the lining in satin and all other details on the cap clearly show the nautical inspiration. The cap comes in navy and in grey with a nice patch embroidery on the front panels.

Just released from Freshjive are four t-shirt graphics by renowned album cover designer, Mick Haggerty. Along with the shirts, Rick Klotz has posted a detailed 9 page article on the history of Mick and his work, and even his relation to the beginning of Freshjive.

Some of you might never have heard of Mick Haggerty, but the album covers by the artist should definitely ring a bell. You can read the article on Mick Haggerty on the Freshjive Propagandist homepage in the media section.

The Mich Haggerty For Freshjive t-shirts will soon be arriving at retailers.

Freshjive will release later this year a full luggage/bag collection, consisting of backpacks, messenger bags, as well as pouches and more. Instead of offering one or two styles next to the regular collection, Freshjive will be offering a wide range of pieces and all that at very reasonable prices. We like the grey and khaki colorways of the first collection and are definitely looking out for the release.

On behalf of powerHouse Books, Freshjive and Reserve, would like to invite you to the LA launch of We Are Experienced by Danielle Levitt on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 7-10pm at Reserve, 420 North Fairfax Avenue. The evening will feature a book signing, exhibition, and launch of six limited edition t-shirts, 4 under the FRESHJIVE label, and 2 under the WARRIORS OF RADNESS label.

Danielle Levitt arrived at her distinctive photographic style capturing street fashion, pop culture, and celebrity for countless publications. While producing this commercial work, Levitt also pursued her passion for documenting American youth. The result is We Are Experienced, Levitt’s first monograph, a series of portraits depicting adolescents in a variety of urban, suburban, and rural settings, as individuals and in groups, loaded with signifiers both mainstream and marginal.

We take a first look at the Freshjive Spring 2009 Collection. As usual the LA based brand proposes some provocative graphics in their line, nevertheless this season designs are looking very clean and sharp. The first shipment, consists of t-shirts only, is now already available at Reserve LA.

Seymour Chwast, one the most important graphic designers of the 20th century and co-founder of Push Pin Studios with Milton Glaser and Edward Sorel, has designed an anti-McCain/Bush t-shirt for Freshjive. The shirt releases this week.

Mr. Chwast first gained notoriety in the 1950s with a playful expressive approach to type and layout based on revivalism which was a radical alternative to the Swiss formalism at the time. As well as this initial design, look out for a group of limited edition designs that Chwast will be releasing in the Freshjive line in 2009. Most of the profits will be directly contributed to the Barack Obama campaign.

Freshjive has released as part of their Fall 2008 collection the Camouflage Group. Consisting of jackets, crewneck sweaters, caps, t-shirts and backpacks, the brand has included in their latest collection a group of product entirely camouflage and military inspired. Freshjive always spoke their mind and thus they have included in this preview some hard facts about the Iraq war.

Freshjive introduces as part of their Fall 2008 collection the Camo Backpack. For the first time the LA based brand offers a technical backpack and it is coming this season in two colorways. There is a regular camo colorway and a desert camo colorway.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Addict presents the Originators Series. This t-shirt collection consists of collaborations with some of the most prominent brands and artists based in Los Angeles. The line-up includes Freshjive, XLarge, FUCT and artist Grave One.
Each brand/artist designed one graphic, which will be available in three colorways this Fall/Winter season.
