highsnobiety - Levi's Fenom Preview

We just reported about the newly relaunched Honeyee website. Hiroshi Fujiwara is also back on board and blogging, after taking a 100 day break.

Today he shows us some upcoming styles of Levi’s Fenom. It looks like a military jacket is in the works, as well as some leather belts/bracelets.

There is no word on the release, but we’ll keep you posted.

IDIOM ‘09 Collection

idiom 2009 collection - highsnobiety
Finally we can give you a pretty complete look at the new Idiom 2009 collection after showing you a little part some time ago. This is the first collection that is designed in cooperation by Staple Design and Fragment Design, whereas before only Fragment Design worked on it.
Several times we have already announced that the line has been inspired by nature and the environment overall. Thus the new collection mostly comes in green, white and black. Just like in previous seasons, they offer a range of hard shell jackets and a couple of insulators and down jackets. Each jacket also has matching pants, in case you actually want to use it for its real purpose, for snowboarding. Nice details include leaf camouflage inner linings and patterns.
Next to the clothing they also offer hardgoods in the line. Here we can unfortunately only show you the board and not yet the bindings and boots.
The line will be coming to stores later this year. Have a look at the complete clothing offering of Idiom after the jump.

idiom '09 collection eco green - highsnobiety
We have bee big iDiom fans from the start. The simplicity and quality of the brand is just convincing, even if the prices sometimes hurt. Earlier this year we reported that the new collection coming later this year has been inspired by the environment in terms of design. Also for the first time it has been designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design and Staple Design from NYC.
The outcome is a collection that has a lot of green, black and white in it. Here you get a first look at the snowboard of the new collection, some pants and also a glimpse at the jacket, but nothing too concrete so far. Pics via Snowbroader.
Check out all the pics after the jump.

Uniform Experiment S/S ‘08 Collection

RTEmagicC ue ss08 2.jpg Uniform Experiment S/S 08 Collection
We have announced Uniform Experiment, the collaboration label between Sophnet and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design before, and now we can finally have a look at their first collection. Overall we were a little surprised, because we expected a more dressy collection and a clearer division between  the new label and the Sophnet label. Even though it is more dressy, the lines are still kind of blurry. On the other hand we are glad not to only see suits. The checker outfit above and also the fleece suit were our favorite pieces in the collection.
At the end of the year we should have a better understanding of the direction of the brand. After the jump some more pictures of the Spring/Summer 2008 collection.

Levi’s Fenom x Affa

RTEmagicC fenom affa.jpg Levis Fenom x Affa
Here we have a nice collaboration between two Japanese brands and in both cases Hiroshi Fujiwara is involved. It probably was not too hard to convince everybody involved in this one.
Levi’s Fenom and Affa just released in Japan two pairs of collaboration denim. There is an indigo model and a black model, both raw. The denim features the usual details of Fenom, but instead of the Fenom “thunder” logo on the right back pocket, these feature the Affa skull logo in white or red respectively. Pic via Jun Takashi.
Definitely a great pair of denim and it also looks like they left the rhinestones off of these ones, which is nice to see.

RTEmagicC 2007813235158806.jpg Converse x Fragment Design All Star Lo & Hi
Next year Converse celebrates their 100th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion the first in a line-up of collaborations will be with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design. We have shown some pictures of this collaboration before and now here some better pics via Urban Look.
The two parties worked on a Converse Chuck Taylor Lo and Hi, both featuring a black toe cap, black labels with the round ankle label being in leather and on the back heel a Fragment logo embroidery in white. As with most Fujiwara designs – small and smart little changes, always on point.
Check out detailed pictures after the jump.
