To celebrate the release of the limited edition version of their Spring 2010 Collection Book, Stussy linked up with Tripster to produce a stool. The stool is made of wood and metal and features a cover featuring a photo all-over print. Look out for a release in the coming month.

In an interesting partnership design studio Quinze & Milan has gotten together with Eastpak to work on a furniture collection that incorporates the bags of the brand.

“the ‘built to resist’ collection combines quinze & milan shapes with authentic eastpak product characteristics, including bags, zippers, handles, colorful strong fabrics  and popular prints.

this first range will include special pocket-padded versions of quinze & milan design classics ‘club sofa 01′ and ‘primary pouf 02′. various pockets are incorporated onto the seats and provide storage for your books, magazines, reading glasses, laptop, ipod, headset, remote control etc.

both pieces will be produced in exclusively numbered limited series and will be presented during milan design week 2010.”

Artist Amanda Visell has created one of our favorite Kid Robot pieces in some time. Half-toy, half-seat – the Log Stool is constructed of fiberglass and measures in at 17-inches tall by 14-inches wide. Unseen details include a KR + AV engraving on the back. For the second time already we see Pharrell Williams getting into furniture design – this time he presents the Tank Chair. The Tank Chair comes in overall 4 colorways and is made of plexiglas and full grain colt leather. The chair will be on display at the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin next week during Art Basel Miami.

The iconic Panton chair by Verner Panton, comes in a new limited edition gold metallic mini version. Limited to only 500 pieces, the chair celebrates the opening of the Panton Chair exhibition at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. The chair comes in a 1/6th scale to the original.

To celebrate the release of their Standard fragrance in collaboration with Comme des Garcons, Artek has created the “10-Unit System” furniture concept together with Shigeru Ban. The furniture concept stands in the window of Dover Street Market in London.

Curated Mag caught wind of these larger-than-life fat cap chairs. “Graphic designer Sander van Heukelom has developed a new chair out of a his youthful fascination with and practice in graffiti. The fat cap chair is built in the vision of, yes, a spray can cap. Two styles are presented – one sits directly on the ground, while the other is perched on a base. Both are constructed from styrofoam with a protective coating. The project serves to draw attention to the detail of an often overlooked object. Learn more at capchaired.com.”

Skate Stusy House has come out with their new limited edition “The Waste Is The Best” made by hand furniture collection. The collection was released this week as part of the colette MeWecycle project. The collection consists of shelves, tables and chairs, all made 100% from throwaway materials.
