G-Shock announces the launch of a brand new large case digital line up. The new GR8900A and G8900A timepieces feature easy-to-read LCDs highlighted by super illuminator LED backlights and are housed in large cases with aluminium bezels. Both timepieces continue to incorporate G-Shock’s brand ethos of rugged toughness with a new twist on G-Shock’s Shock Resistant case design.

The G-Shock GR8900A, available in a matte black or white finish with black dial faces, features Tough Solar Power, shock and 200M water resistance, full auto super illuminator LED backlight, 4 daily alarms and 1 snooze, world time (48 cities +UTC), multi-home time 4, 1/100 second stopwatch, countdown timer, 12/24 Hr formats and mute function. The G8900A is available in matte black with electric blue accents, all white, or orange with a contrasting black dial face. This G-Shock features a 5-year battery, is shock and 200M water resistant, has an auto super illuminator LED backlight, flash alert, 4 daily alarms and 1 snooze, world time (48 cities +UTC), multi-home time 4, 1/100 second stopwatch, countdown timer, 12/24 Hr formats, and mute function.

G-Shock introduces the X-Large GA-110HC watch. Living up to their reputation for big case designs, this Ana Digi “three-eyed” phenomenon measures in at a whopping 55 x 51.2 x 16.99mm size with an attention to detail that is second to none. Large anti-skid buttons provide easy embossed indexes, gives a 3- D look and a rivet bezel design adds strength to its overall appearance. Go nuts.

October 2011 marks the release of the second collaboration between Globe and G-Shock. This time they present the GRX-5600 watch, one of the more classic styles in the G-Shock range. The watch comes with black case and strap, red display and subtle Globe branding on the display. Look out for a release very soon.

Celebrating its 5th anniversary, Beauty & Youth by United Arrows got together with G-Shock. They present the collaborative AWG-M500 watch, a model that we do not see too often in collaborations. Next to 48 city times and a full auto calendar, the rechargeable solar functionlity is the most interesting.

The limited edition watch is launching soon at Beauty & Youth stores in Japan.

For the release of his new book ‘Mom & Dad’, as well as the accompanying exhibition that is hosted at Parisian store colette, photographer Terry Richardson produced with colette and Casio a set of Baby-G watches. Coming nicely packaged, the watches feature all-over tartan check patterns. The watches will be released soon and will be priced at 250 Euros.

Casio G-Shock has finally released the limited edition Ruby Frogman. The Ruby Frogman is part of the Baselworld Special Model Master of G series. It has synthetic ruby-adorned front screw tops, carved out mode buttons with tide graph and moon data as well as a 64 titanium-reinforced body combining toughness with impressive lightweight. Built to the highest quality G-Shock standards and is shock resistant and water proof to 200m. The watch is limited to 200 pieces worldwide and priced at just over 1′800 USD. In the UK, it is exclusively available from Dover Street Market.

Bape and G-Shock are getting ready for their next collaborative days. They once again worked on the iconic DW-6900 watch. This time it comes in classic black with gold dial accents and matching prints on the straps, and of course also features the Bape head backlight. Look out for a release very soon.

G-Shock Japan has unveiled their September 2011 watch releases. Encompassing a very tech range, the offering includes the 8900, 9110, 9200, 9300, and 1200 styles, all which are outfitted with solar power options and the usual G-Shock shock/water resistance. Ample amount of matte black finishing gives the watches a tough look.

Art toys label adFunture has worked with G-Shock on 4 limited edition Master of G watches, including Mudman, Riseman, Gulfman and the infamous Frogman. The watches feature the adFunture logo on the backlight and each one has very different graphics placed on the straps. Each watch design has been inspired by the various functions of each watch model.

This range of watches is part of the recent design collaboration between the two companies, as adFunture also designed and produced 4 Master of G robotic characters for G-Shock. The robotic characters were then produced into vinyl figures, that adFunture is best known for. The figures can be seen at various G-Shock Stores, and are given to G-Shock consumers upon watch purchases. All 4 watches and figures were announced and displayed in the SHOCK THE WORLD event in Shanghai China on July 22nd, 2011.

Once again G-Shock teams up with Globe and goes beyond simply collaborating on a timepiece. For Fall 2011 the two brands present both a watch and matching skate lifestyle products.

GLOBE’s all new Comanche Boot is made from irregular leather, canvas and shaved suede for a vintage military look, has a rear zip entry, waxed rope laces and a metal speed lace collar to tie things up. It also comes with a custom vintage dog tag.”

The watch, skateboard deck and boots will release in November 2011.
