We preview some works that artist JR will be showcasing at his upcoming ‘Encrages’ exhibition at the Galerie Perrotin in Paris, starting November 19th, 2011. JR has made a strong name for himself these recent years, not only because of his incredible artworks, but more importantly because of the way he uses them to make statements about society around the globe and the impact his work has had on local communities. Emmanuel Perrotin represents among many other also Takashi Murakami and Kaws – JR will nicely fit into this line-up.

After a nice preview the other day, we passed by the latest Takashi Murakami exhibition today at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris – Homage To Yves Klein. Inspired by Klein, his artistic style and mostly his signature color, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has produced a new body of work. Mixed in with the new paintings, Perrotin is also showing numerous images from Murakami’s exhibition at Chateau Versailles from 2010.

From October 20th 2011 until January 1st 2012, Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris will be hosting the latest Takashi Murakami exhibition, entitled ‘Homage To Yves Klein’. The inspiration of the new series of paintings by the Japanese artist is pretty obvious here, with Yves Klein’s blue tone appearing in many of the new pieces.

Kaws presents a new painting at the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin booth at the Art HK 11 fair, which is on from May 26th to May 29th. Towards the end of the week we should be able to give you a more broad review of the art fair.

After a preview of the exhibition the other day, we can give you a recap of the opening of the new Kaws “Pay The Debt To Nature” Exhibition at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, which took place yesterday, November 6th. Next to some new large scale sculptures of the Accomplice and Companion characters of the artist, several new small, mid and large scale paintings were also on display. Overall the exhibition features a small, but strong offering of the artist and clearly indicates the direction that Kaws has been taking these last months.

We get a nice detailed preview of the new Kaws “Pay The Debt To Nature” exhibition, opening this weekend at the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris. On display you see new paintings by the artist featuring familiar characters, that we have already seen in previous exhibitions, including Sponge Bob. Also the gigantic Accomplice figures that were already on show at the Aldrich Museum are on display in two colorways, each coming in editions of only 3. Also for the first time we see super largescale Campanion figures by the artist in two colorways.
