GAP is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a London pop-up store. The store’s decoration is inspired by the 60’s, featuring rainbow colors and lots of limited edition product for the occasion. Pharrell Williams produced a subtle capsule collection for the store, consisting of hoodies, t-shirs, bags and sneakers.

It has certainly been a while since we have seen so much hype around a new print magazine. LOVE Magazine shocked everybody (in a good way) with their first cover, featuring singer Beth Ditto, and now they put the cover art onto a classic Gap t-shirt. You can purchase it now from colette.

One of the funniest products to be made for the Colette x Gap pop-up store in New York City comes from designer Jack Space – the Moustache Gloves. The French moustache is fighting against the American moustache, which are each attached on one of the fingers.

The limited edition Moustache Gloves by Jack Space are now available in three colorways at Colette in Paris and at the Colette x Gap pop-up store in NYC.

French designer Claude Closky has played with the famous "I Love NY" t-shirt and given it a Parisian make-over for the upcoming Colette x Gap pop-up store in New York. Overall he presents three different designs – J’aime Parri, J’aime Parih and J’aime Parys. Via Colette.

You can expect these to be available as of September 6th.

The signature grey jersey has become an emblem for Gap and thus Colette has commissioned several french brands to create their classics using the grey fleece.
The latest one to be released is the Longchamp Pliage Bag, an all-time classic. The Colette x Gap x Longchamp Pliage bag is now available in the Colette online store for 90 Euros.
A custom logo of the Colette x Gap collection has been placed inside the bag. Check that out after the jump.

Colette does not stop being in the news these days. After presenting you the Colette x Gap products, the artist series t-shirts and of course the newly renovated Colette Paris store, we show you today the Incase x Kuntzel + Deygas iPhone 3G case, which was once again branded with the Colette x Gap artwork. We give you a first look at some of the exclusive product that was made especially for the Colette x Gap concept store that will be opening its doors in New York in September.
You will see limited edition collaborative product with the likes of Oakley, Uslu Airlines, Moncler and artist Andre, Gap t-shirts with artist prints and much more. The product will be available only at the Colette x Gap pop-up store and at the newly renovated Colette Paris store, that will be opening its doors again this coming Monday, August 25th.

We reported earlier of the upcoming Colette x Gap pop-up store in New York, coming September 6th. Today the website for the collaborative project launched and they announced a series of great collaborations, including Andre x Neckface, Gauckler x Elms, Miss Tic x Claw Money, So_Me x ESPO. Also they will be carrying a lot of exclusive product by Adam Kimmel, Converse, Longchamp, Repetto and other brands.

Also this partnership we have already announced. Finally Colette will come to New York City (well, for a little while at least) thanks to Gap. Below all the details on the roll-out of this project.
"Gap has commissioned renowned Paris boutique colette to create a special one-month installation in Gap’s rotating concept store adjacent to the New York City flagship store at 54th and 5th Avenue. The collete x GAP store will be open from « September 6 through October 5, 2008. This exciting endeavor marks the first colette store in the United States, making the brand’s sought-after items available to U.S. consumers for the first time ever. Similar to the Parisian store, colette x GAP store will offer a mix of hard-to-find products from around the world and cater to an ever-evolving mix of genres and tastes alike."
Something to look out for!

Building on its long history of supporting the arts, today Gap introduced Artist Editions T-Shirts, a limited edition collection of t-shirts designed by 13 of today’s most influential contemporary artists, including Chuck Close, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, Kiki Smith, Cai Guo-Qiang, Barbara Kruger, Ashley Bickerton, Kenny Scharf, Glenn Ligon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kerry James Marshall, Hanna Liden and Sarah Sze.
 
Gap worked in close partnership with the Whitney Museum of American Art and Art Production Fund to create the collection with the 13 artists, who are all previous Whitney Biennial participants. The Whitney Biennial is a special exhibition held every two years at the Whitney Museum of American Art that features the most important contemporary art in the United States. Gap is a proud sponsor of the 2008 Whitney Biennial.  
 
The limited edition collection is available exclusively at select Gap stores in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and franchise markets, as well as online in the U.S. at gap.com. It’s also available at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and at Colette, a Paris-based boutique. The t-shirts range in price from $28 to $38.
