During our last Project visit this February we also visited the DC booth and one of the most interesting upcoming releases was the Gatsby that Brick Lane store Gloria has worked on with DC. Thanks to Sneaker Freaker we can show you some nice images of the shoes.
The shoe comes with an aquatic theme and features all kinds of different materials, including patent leather, perforated leather, suede and also webbed leathers. On the ouside the shoe is kept very clean, just with a subtle red Gloria tag. The inner sole comes with some fresh graphics done by ‘Dr.Who?’ aka Lazer Comodore aka Patrick Giner. Another nice detail are the leather laces, giving the shoe almost a bit of a boat shoe look.
Overall the outcome is great. A really fresh summer shoe. Gloria will release it at the end of June. Also look out for a very limited tee shirt to accompany the release courtesy of Dr.Who.

With much anticipation the time has finally come for the release of the Commonwealth x DC Shoes Gatsby model. Pictures have been floating around the internet for a while already, we give you now a first detailed look at the final product.
Inspired by Charles and Ray Eames, these shoes utilize a Maharam fabric designed by Ray Eames in 1947 called the “Dot Pattern”. The outcome is a very solid shoe in two color ways.
Commonwealth will be releasing these shoes Thursday, February 21st, and will be celebrating the event with an instore reception and after party. Now go ahead and check out a detailed look at the shoes after the jump.

The Ben G x DC Shoes Gatsby collaboration sneakers will soon be released. To go along with the sneaker Ben G has also teamed up with Official to create a matching Ben G x DC x Official fitted cap, featuring the same design as the shoes. More pictures of the sneakers you can see here.
Also Official is running an interesting contest with this launch. The winners will get a paid trip to Amsterdam, the home base of Ben G. Reserve your limited production Ben G x DC x Official hat on Official’s store site and you’re automatically entered into a chance to pick up your hat and a free pair of the Ben G x DC Gatsby shoes personally from the Ben G skate shop in the heart of Amsterdam. Official is going to flip the bill (or Euro in this case) for your flights and two nights hotel at the Winston in central Amsterdam, Netherlands just to go pick up your hat and shoes straight from the source.
The cap will only be released in Europe and in the Official Online Store. Check out the cap in more detail after the jump, as you will notice it also has some serious glow-in-the-dark features.

Here we show you some interesting upcoming collaborations by DC Shoes. They got together with both Commonwealth and with Brooklyn Projects.
With Commonwealth they worked on the Gatsby, an entirely new sneaker, in two colorways. It features a lightweight textile upper, mesh lining, foam-padded tongue and collar, sticky rubber outsole, and more. Overall simple and solid.

With Brooklyn Projects they worked on the Voltron. They will come in two colourways, timber/snake (seen above) and black/royal. The upper comes in a mixture of patent leather, reptile skin and mesh. Also interesting. Pics via Mashkulture.
