The Adidas Gazelle has always been one of our favorite sneakers, especially due to its clean looks. For Spring 2008 they have just released a series of Gazelles. They come in orange, black and dirty white, featuring a mixed leather/suede upper. They all feature a large embossed “Gazelle” on the back heel.

We continue our preview of the Adidas January 2008 Consortium collection. Next in line is the Gazelle, which comes in two popping colorways. We already showed you these over the weekend, but since we have nicer and more detailed pics today, we give show them again.

The green colorway comes with purple accents. The upper is made of premium leather with a snakeskin structure, but a suede feel to it. Definitely interesting.

The orange colorway is really bright, reminding us of security orange, and has black accents. In terms of materials it is the same as the green colorway. Pics via Limiteditions.

A first look at what Adidas Consortium has to offer in the new year. The latest releases consists of two Adidas Gazelle – one comes in green with purple accents and the other one in orange with black accents. The uppers come in exotic leathers. Both color combos are very nice.
The most special release this month is for sure the black reflective Adidas Campus. It comes with a black upper, white stripes on one side and checkered carbon stripes on the other side. The entire upper is reflective. Pics via DQM.

For Fall 2008 Frivolus Goods will be releasing their first sneakers. The shoe clearly takes its inspiration from the Adidas Gazelle, maybe a bit too much. But they of course work with more high end materials, than Adidas does. The sneaker comes in premium suede with an australian boarskin perforated  lining. We preview the red colorway, but expect more colors to be available at release. The shoe will retail at 365.00 usd. Adidas Skate got together with EA Sports on an interesting collaboration for the Skate game by EA Sports. Adidas Skate made a limited edition of 500 pairs of the pro model Mark Gonzales Superstars and Dennis Busenitz’s Gazelles. The only way to get these is to play the game, get the secret code. The secret code can then be used on shopadidas.com and you can order your sneakers. Pic via Vapors.

Crooked Tongues presents the latest shoes by Adidas Skateboarding for two of their skaters – Dennis Busenitz and Mark Gonzales. Adidas managed to create some really nice sneakers while still keeping them rather simple and just the right accents.
“Repping two team superstars (no smug pun intended), in the shape of speedy Dennis Busenitz and the deeply eccentric Mark Gonzales, Dennis’ signature spin on the Gazelle returns to follow its triumphant red suede debut with another simple variation, this time in black, with a nigh-on translucent gum midsole.

In line with the man behind the makeup, its no surprise that this Gonz Superstar is a little bit more off-the-wall in blue (looking particularly good on the shell), yellow and white with a spot of red contrast stitching, plus a blissful looking shape shifting Shmoo emblazoned on the heel.

Across both shoes, there’s a high score theme, evoking memories of pumping change into Bubble Bobble down the local leisure centre and getting some leaderboard Last Starfighter-esque shine. Until the plug got pulled. From the evocative 4 bit lettering on the upper, to the insole listing and computer generated image of each respective rider beneath the outsole, it’s a fine concept that doesn’t intrude on the appeal of either model. “

Yesterday we showed you first pics of the Reptile Pack as part of the Adidas Consortium Collection and today we can show you some nicer and more detailed pics of the two sneaker that are part of it.

The reptile pack is the continuation of their successful snake inspired pack from couple seasons ago. With the Varan and the Gator they have a special and extraordinary material mix and color match up. Both the Americana Hi and Gazelle OP look great and are something to look out for!
