Three new Dita Select Optical frames have arrived for Summer 2009. The Verve, The Lever, and The Rambler each come in a variety of color-ups ranging from Dark Tortoise and Black on Black Swirl, to the more adventurous Black to Clear Fade, as well as a solid Bone White style. Each frame is handcrafted in Japan from Zyl Acetate with custom Hex Rivets. Although these styles were designed as optical frames, sunglass tinting is available on request, making each a worthy alternative to the standard Wayfarer-esque style they were inspired by. Stussy got together with Kotake Cyobei Saku to collaborate on their popular “Naomi” glasses. They come in black and will be released exclusively at the Stussy Harajuku Store on January 2nd. Online they will be released on January 3rd.

Here is a first look at one of the new frames from the Dita Spring 2009 collection, entitled “The Statesman”. The name perfectly discribes the looks of the frame, which nicely puts together a more heavy Wayfarer with a lighter metal based design. “The Statesman” comes in overall four colorways and is already now available for purchase.

We are very excited to finally show you the outcome of our collaborative project with Italy’s Super. We worked with Super on two pairs of glasses and added our own twist to one of their latest frames.

The sunglasses come with clear lenses and with sun lenses, both by Zeiss and both with 100% UV protection. We kept is overall classic and chose a brown colorway for the glasses. Inside they carry both the Super and the Highsnobiety logos. On the outside the Highsnobiety stamp logo has been worked into the frame, which came out really nice and is overall subtle. Just like all Super sunglasses these are also handmade in Italy.

The Super x Highsnobiety glasses and sunglasses are each limited to 50 pieces worldwide and will be released this week worldwide. The US stores will release them between today and tomorrow, the rest of the world will release them this coming Saturday, October 18th. The glasses retail for 120 Euros/144 USD.

After a small hint a couple of weeks ago, we can give you a nice look today at the upcoming Barneys NY Coop x Super sunglass collaboration.

The Italian brand worked with Barneys on their latest model, which was only introduced this Fall/Winter season. It comes with a thicker frame than previous models and has a certain vintage look to itself. The Barneys model comes in blue, features silver detailing on the inside. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide, the glasses will be released any day now.

As part of their Autumn/Winter 2008 collection, Sophnet proposes several new frames in their eyewear collection. Two models are now available in the Honeyee Store, one coming in two colorways, the other one available in three.

Silas got together with Dazed & Confused Japan to work on a pair of glasses. The outcome is a rather simple pair of black glasses, that are now available at Dedue.

When first launched Australia’s Colab definitely brought a new element into the sunglass market. Something that we had previously seen on t-shirts and other pieces was now also apparent on sunglasses – artist collaborations. The idea seems rather simple at first, but Colab goes much further than just slapping a logo or a graphic onto the sunglasses, rather creating a complete story and all that in the highest quality one can wish for.
The chosen artists for Season 2 include Australia’s Dmote, Geneviève Gauckler from France, Josh Petherick, Marok and Tonite/Fergadelic.
 
Each style has been designed, created and manufactured under the watchful eye of these artists ensuring there is no compromise in the development process. The new collection will be in stores sometime in September. From Colette in Paris to United Arrows in Japan, you can expect the line to pop up in pretty much every store that is at the fore front of fashion and style. Via Selectism.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Futura Laboratories has come out with eyewear. Overall they released two pairs of glasses – one pair of sunglasses and one pair of regular glasses. 
The design has been kept very classic, coming in black frames and a subtle Futura 2000 logo placement on the arms.

Teasers of upcoming Huf SF sunglasses have been floating around for a while already. Now it has been confirmed and first quality images of the Mosley Tribes For Huf SF sunglasses have turned up. Overall they use one frame and present it in two colorways – matt black and blonde tortoise. They give the frame some nice branding, with the Huf logo appearing on the arms, as well as on the glasses.
Huf announced that they will release them very soon at their San Francisco and LA stores. We will keep you posted.
