As part of their Lee Cooper 100 project, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the denim brand, they have collaborated with high end eyewear brand Alain Mikli.
With a passion for innovation, Lee Cooper and Alain Mikli produce eyewear like no other.  Working from his lab in Paris, Alain revived his original 70s model. He proceeded to take apart a pair of 5 pocket Lee Cooper jeans to see what the core ingredients were. Denim aside, he focused on the zip and rivets. Lee Cooper jeans were then infused onto the frame – the first time this has ever been done.
Happy with the frame, Mikli moved onto the lens. Through sheer experimentation, Mikli devised a lens that includes a Lee Cooper zip, with the zipper teeth also carved in – pure imagination and completely conceptual. To match these hand made glasses, Alain designed a case from a Lee Cooper jean with the glasses fitting snuggly inside. What you see is innovation. A complex procedure crafted by a design genius.
At first you think somebody knows how to use Photoshop, but once you realize that its all reality, it is definitely very impressive. Alain Mikli also designed Kanye West’s Shutter Shades, that were reported about in all media and this new Lee Cooper collaboration once again confirms his innovative nature.

Bape has released a new pair of sunglasses. They come in black and white, both featuring the Bapesta logo on the arms. The white frame comes with blue lenses and the black frame comes with black lenses.
These are now available in Bape stores worldwide.

Stussy got together with Japans T19 on their "Naomi" sunglasses. The model comes in a special royal blue T19 colorway and features logos of both brands on the frame. These will be released on the 19th of July.

A couple of weeks ago we showed you a teaser of the Original Fake x Oakley Frogskins, that will be coming out this Fall/Holiday ‘08 season. Here now thanks to Honeyee some better images, showing both the grey and the brown colorway.

Australian eyewear label Colab has been a refreshing addition to the market place, introducing the concept of artist collaborations into a new market.
Here we present you their latest models. This time the label got together with DMote and Genevieve Gauckler.
Dmote is an amazing Australian graffiti artist, who has set the bar in Australia and in many cases the world. The artist designed a white pair of sunglasses, featuring a 3D fly all-over design.
With a focus on pop culture and her simple but striking characters, Gauckler images are unnervingly empowering and emotive- despite their flatter-than-flat 2D styling. Working heavily with companies such as F communications and Yves Saint Laurent, Gauckler is a new and very exciting addition to the Colab family. The name should ring a bell, since we have already presented you both toys and other products from the artist. For Colab she designed a pair of black sunglasses, as usual featuring striking graphics.

Neighborhood has released goods out of their Eyeworks deparment. The Vulture sunglasses comes in a blck/grey and black/yellow colorway. The NH initials are featured on the lenses and the sunglasses come with a case.
Both colorways are now available at Firmament.

The Ray-Ban Wayfarer model has been celebrating a huge comeback in the last couple of years. Not only has Ray-Ban released them in multiple colorways in recent months, we also see a lot of other sunglass brands being inspired by the style.
Beams has received their latest shipment of the iconic model and among them was also this camo colorway. An all time classic in a new camo look – we love it!

The Stussy 2008 sunglass collection is here. Their 100% Italian handmade frames were carefully designed while keeping Stussy’s classic history and current intentions in mind. The materials used are high quality metals and cellulose acetates, resulting in frames that have a deep gloss and natural feel. All frames are fitted with shatterproof CR39 lenses which provide 100% UVA/UVB protection. The finished product is a sunglass with fine fit, shape and detailing that keeps in line with our manufacturing move to Italy. These glasses will be available soon at Stussy chapter stores and fine boutiques around the globe.
