As part of their Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection, Japanese brand glamb has worked with Gloverall on two versions of their iconic duffle coat. While one sticks closer to the classic, the other one comes with one leather sleeve, styled similar to a leather biker jacket. Both feature tartan linings and red or black wool uppers.

YMC (You Must Create) gets together with outerwear label Gloverall for a wax jacket in yellow. “This jacket continues the great relationship and the great pieces of outerwear that both brands are known for; the jacket includes the signature shawl neck collar YMC have favoured many times on many of their pieces as well as the Gloverall touch in the form of the rope and wooden fastening for that authentic rustic impression.” Available from online retailer Glass Boutique.

The duffle coat comes in two colorways and the main differences to the original is the shorter length and the leather instead of rope fastening. Both jackets are now available from the YMC online store.

Two of British clothing’s heavyweights have joined forces for Fall/Winter 2010. Fred Perry got together with Gloverall, of course to produce a duffle coat. They chose the classic Gloverall silhouette and added a full tartan lining to it. The jacket is now available from End.

Menswear retailer Oi Polloi has worked with Gloverall on a small collaborative project. Gloverall manufactured some of their classic duffels and pea-coats, in England, exclusively for Oi Polloi. The Monty, a classic duffle coat, comes in a solid navy/red colorway and the Reefer Jacket comes in two colorways and is fully lined. Rather than changing the outside appearance, Oi Polloi concentrated on adding some nice details on the inside.

Named for the armor used to protect soldiers hands in the middle ages, Japan’s Gauntlets is focused on old time quality and craftsmanship. Teaming with one of the UK’s most renowned outerwear manufacturers in Gloverall, the label brings a premium bespoke Duffle Coat. The most noticeable modification would be the extended, contrasting tie-string across the chest. Different enough that it’s special, yet stays fairly true to the original. We commend restraint. The navy blue duffle coat comes with all the classic features that you would expect, including the closing, plaid lining and hood. A nice addition to the classic are the leather patches on the shoulders and the elbows.

Stussy just released their latest collaboration. They got together with Gloverall, the Duffle Coat specialist. Their coats are made in England using the finest fabrics which are thoroughly tested for strength, durability and wearability. The Stussy x Gloverall Duffle Coat comes in three colorways – beige, navy and grey. The inner lining has the “Mobilis in Mobile” slogan written on it.

Silas recently collaborated with Gloverall on a Duffle Coat, as part of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Gloverall is a traditional English company, focusing on Duffle Coats since 1951. Experience like the one Gloverall has for this specific piece of wardrobe is something a new brand could never achieve by itself and therefore a collaboration makes 100% sense. They created a duffle coat in three colorways – red, grey and navy blue. The coat features a plaid pattern on the hood and on the cuffs. An instant classic for the colder months. Via Honeyee.
