Gola x JC de Castelbajac Spring/Summer 2011 Footwear

Gola and French designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac continue to work together for Spring/Summer 2011. The new collection features several high top and low top styles, as usual featuring colorful and playful designs.

“Styles in the spring collection feature oodles of vibrant colour; exploring textures in leather, canvas and jersey. Fantastic attention to detail has been applied to the designs in the men’s range, conjuring up a futuristic statement. Metallic silver uppers, zip detailing and metal hardwear add charm to styles, plus be sure to watch out for the shark fin that makes an appearance in this collection! For ladies, plimsoll designs have been given a colour injection – self coloured metal buttons and eyelets are lavished on a number of key styles.”

After the jump you can take a detailed look at the new collection of sneakers.

Gola x Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Hi Top Sneaker Collection

British sportswear label Gola teams up with eclectic designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac on a collection of bold hi-tops for AW10. Commenting on the collaboration Mr de Castelbajac stated “Gola is a British legend; Millions of kids in the world have been walking into their future wearing Gola sneakers. Eccentricity and functionality bring us together in this first Gola by JC/DC collection. Fun, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop… All my influences are “at your feet”, affordable, pertinent and especially impertinent!” Certainly eye catching. Look for these at Gola accounts this autumn.

Since it’s Suede has replaced the original leather, but the specs are faithful to the original design. A ‘vintage’ box and commemorative leaflet complete the package. The Harrier is the oldest trainer in Gola’s range. Founded in 1905, the company has a long history in British football, and got a bust in its reintroduction due to the interest of none other than Noel Gallagher.
