NYC based creative agency TheGoodLife! has relaunched their site in conjunction with the release of their custom domino and domino table with Good Wood. The new site features columns by 13th Witness, Ricky Powell, Kassia Meador, Akira Ruiz, Curtis Kulig, Craig Wetherby and Radcollector ed in chief Tim Brodhagen amongst others. Primarily a photo blog, the site also features info on TheGoodLife! events and products. The dominoes, which we featured in August, are 100% hand made in Brooklyn, NY and can be purchased here.

Good Wood and All Things Fresh linked up to give Drake this special gift set for his 25th birthday. The special package consists of shot glasses, necklaces, bracelets, iPhone 4 cases and a couple of OVO owls.

It has been a while since we have heard from Good Wood. San Francisco brand Benny Gold has linked up with the New York jewelry makers. The object that would be turned into wood as part of this collaboration was of course obvious – the signature Benny Gold glider plane. They present two pendants as part of the collaboration and they will be available at the new Benny Gold flagship store in San Francisco next month.

Creative Control takes you into the Good Wood Headquarters to meet the brains behind the brand and to give you a glimpse at the woodworking process as the custom Creative Control x Good Wood pieces are made. There’s also a sneak peek at pieces for Dame Dash, Curren$y and the special BluRoc joint that will be available only at Feb 25th’s NYC show at the Grammercy Theater.

For Valentine’s Day, Brooklyn-based company Good Wood are releasing a limited edition red Jesus Piece. Constructed using 100 percent wood, the piece is laser engraved with a likeness of Jesus on the front and the date 2/14/10 on the back, along with the Good Wood logo and the phrase “limited edition”. Available at 12 midnight on February 14th. Retails for $65 USD.

Inspired by the film "Beautiful Losers," Good Wood showcase 45 artists work on skateboard decks. Notables like Chuck Anderson, Matt Gordon and Leo Espinosa are included. The breadth of artists plays out well in a variety of method. Acrylic, oil, silk screen, and even sculpture are represented. 
The exhibition is put together by Andrew Davis, a Detroit based curator. This is his second installation related to Good Wood theme, and first to be mounted at Brooklyn’s Third Ward. Davis provides the decks, artists their vision, and they collectively benefit Stocked Mentoring, a non-profit youth sports organization.
