In 1891 the first rubber footwear products left the original Tretorn factory also known as Helsingborgs Gummifabrik. As a brand Tretorn was registered in 1911. If you didn’t know the name Tretorn is Swedish for Three Towers refering to the original factory’s three towers and from what we know Tretorn invented the tennis ball. Tretorn also proudly carries a Royal Warrant, appointed by Hans Majestät Konungen, the King of Sweden.

Two years in the making, Sneakersnstuff can now finally show you the result. The Tretorn Tournament tennis shoe from 1956 gets the Sneakersnstuff treatment. It features GORE-TEX® lining, rip stop nylon upper, reflective 3M Scotchlite™ pipings, 3 sets of laces and a nice sneaker bag. Actually this is the first time ever a Tretorn product gets the approval to use GORE-TEX®.

Continuing to celebrate their 10th anniversary, Stockholm sneaker store Sneakersnstuff produced with Tretorn the T56 SNS GTX. Look out for a release on June 27th.

This season we have seen the MT580 Gore-Tex in a triple pack of strong tonal colorways. The New Balance MT580 returns soon in the Gore-Tex outfit and this time received the gradient treatment. The sneakers come in a pink/yellow and a black/white colorway. We like how the carried the gradient design onto every element of the sneakers, including the laces, logo and sole. Look out for a release soon.

As part of the adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2009 Collection you will be seeing some great technical outerwear. One of the stand-out pieces  is this Gore-Tex jacket. The jacket comes in black with nice red details and subtle branding. The inner jacket makes sure it fits perfectly, further functional details have been added to the sleeves. It is functional, solid, yet with some nice accents to seperate it from the masses.

Once again some nice new items from Visvim have been released over the weekend. The new Lapland 3L Gore-Tex jacket dropped in black. It comes with a lot of interesting technical features, including the main zipper, pocket, Gore-Tex shell and patching. Furthermore new pieces of the popular Visvim Ballistic Luggage collection have been released. The Ballistic E-Cat messenger bags come in beige and khaki and feature a patchwork pattern on the bottom, that we have previously seen this season on the Christo sandal. Via Figure.

Coming right in time for the colder and rainy months of the year is the Nike Blazer ACG Mid GTX. Taking the Nike considered idea to the next level, this Blazer comes entirely covered in Gore-Tex, making sure your feet stay dry. It comes in a mens and womens colorway. The mens features yellow accents on the black base and the womens features pink accents on the black base.

A nice series of jackets out of the Original Fake Fall/Winter 2008 collection has been released. Their popular Gore-Tex jacket has returned this season, after being one ofthe most popular pieces in past seasons. Once again it comes in black and features on the zippers a subtle Kaws Chompers teeth design.

Furthermore they have released a lightweight jacket with mesh lining, that just like the Gore-Tex jacket also features Kaws Chompers zippers.

Both the Gore-Tex jacket and the lightweight Fall jacket are now available in two colorways at L’Intrus.

Nine times out of 10, simplicity wins. The Nike SB Dunk Low Gore-Tex, from a style standpoint, is one of those nine times. Light grey and white allow the dunks silhouette to shine. Suede is just simply the dream fabric for dunks. 

Unfortunately, as our friends from Crooked ably point out, there is something missing. On the design end, some general miscues make the Gore-Tex, well, more hype than waterproof hope.

We present you a couple of new pieces from the Nexus VII Fall/Winter 2008 collection. The Japanese brand presents a new Gore-Tex coat, knit sweater and t-shirts. The Gore-Tex jacket of course sticks out and comes with a lot of nice details.

Burton started introducing a denim gore-tex series last winter season and continues this season. As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection they introduce a raw denim version of their snowboard suit, consisting of a jacket and matching pants. The raw denim turns out to look much nicer on the suit that the washed that they used lasttime around. 
You look like you are wearing a normal denim outfit, but have all the technical features than all the rest of the Burton collection, which is a pretty cool idea.

In preparation for the cold and rainy days of winter, Puma releases a gore-tex version of the Sky II. Its done up in fall orange and brown. Gore-Tex keeps you’re feet dry and allows them to breath. Win, win. Available now from Overkill and other fine retailers.
