nonnative continues to impress with their Gore-Tex infused footwear, also for Spring/Summer 2012. We still do not understand why the fabric has not made it more widely into the footwear field – keeping your feet warm and dry just seems to make sense. Most current styles on the market that use Gore-Tex are made for professional sport or just look horrible.

For the new season nonnative presents again their Gore-Tex 2L Dweller Lo Trainer, this time using a Cotton Mini Herringbone fabric by Liberty on the upper, featuring the signature flower designs. The sneaker comes in overall three colorways and will release soon.

Now this is something nice from Bape. The Japanese brand releases their Boonie Hat not only featuring the 1st Camo pattern all-over, but also featuring a Gore-Tex layer. Perfect for the current weather, the hat comes in two colorways and should be available soon.

After showing you the tartan check version of the Gore-Tex Campus Jacket by nanamica earlier, we now take a closer look at the Chambray version of the technical layer coat.

We love how nanamica mixes heritage fabrics with innovative materials, resulting in modern city gear, yet with a nice classic look. A removable storm hood, red stitching and other details make the jacket stand out from the crowd.

In an interesting new project, Acronym designer Errolson Hugh has gotten together with Italian brand Herno. Together they present Herno Laminar, an outerwear collection using Gore-Tex fabrics.

“A capsule collection comprising 8 styles for men and 8 styles for women that perform well at high altitudes but with a decidedly urban look.

16 elements inspired to meet the needs of daily life, from business to leisure, produced using extremely sophisticated techniques such as thermo-ultrasound seams, combined with laminated GORE-TEX®, synonymous of both waterproof and breathing fabrics. This is the new uncompromising Laminar world created by Herno.

Laminar, the name given to the project, refers to the phenomenon that in physics means the “optimization of the flow” – there are no cross currents and the particles flow in a orderly way. This project is the result of two years hard work, not only on the product itself, but also to develop production techniques adapted to the use of such complex materials.”

They call it Sartorial Engineering, which we find a rather good description for the fusion of technical materials and Hugh’s know-how with the history of the Herno brand. Expect a release of the collection later this year.

For the 10th anniversary of Japanese shoe maker Regal, they have teamed up once again with nonnative on the Gore-Tex Wing Tip Brogue. For the first time they present the shoe with a suede upper. These kind of things make us get excited about the winter every year – the nanamica Gore-Tex Cruiser Jacket. This piece probably best represents our love for the Japanese brand, as it perfectly fuses a classic silhouette with modern functionality and high tech fabrics.

The hooded Cruiser Jacket comes for Fall/Winter 2011 in three cotton Gore-Tex versions and in one herringbone Gore-Tex version. Multiple pockets are placed on the upper and small contrasting details in the form of patterns of materials (i.e. leather) add that little extra touch to these otherwise very simple looking pieces. In an interesting project, The Fusion Project, Goldwin Japan has put together visvim, mastermind JAPAN and White Mountaineering with Gore-Tex to product some technical jackets, using the advanced fabrics of the brand. All three are not new to this particular market and especially visvim and White Mountaineering are well known for producing some of the best Gore-Tex jackets in the market. The White Mountaineering jackets will release June 26th and the other two collaborations follow on July 2nd.

In 1891 the first rubber footwear products left the original Tretorn factory also known as Helsingborgs Gummifabrik. As a brand Tretorn was registered in 1911. If you didn’t know the name Tretorn is Swedish for Three Towers refering to the original factory’s three towers and from what we know Tretorn invented the tennis ball. Tretorn also proudly carries a Royal Warrant, appointed by Hans Majestät Konungen, the King of Sweden.

Two years in the making, Sneakersnstuff can now finally show you the result. The Tretorn Tournament tennis shoe from 1956 gets the Sneakersnstuff treatment. It features GORE-TEX® lining, rip stop nylon upper, reflective 3M Scotchlite™ pipings, 3 sets of laces and a nice sneaker bag. Actually this is the first time ever a Tretorn product gets the approval to use GORE-TEX®.
