A great new gadget is coming from Griffin. The Helo TC Helicopter can be controlled right from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. You just need to buy the helicopter, download the app for it from the App Store, and you are good to go. A special batter pack attaches to your iPhone, then you launch the app and you are good to go. Priced at 50 USD, it is certainly a fun gadget to own.

For Griffin, this season has been about focusing on heritage styles and reworking favourites whilst developing new, soon to be classics. The label worked with some amazing fabrics from Italian camouflage linens to British Millerain dry wax cottons. The collection was inspired by the Griffin summer and lifestyle, creating a collection that has the Griffin mix of urban vs. country with all the elements of both, fashion vs. function, tradition vs. technology, etc.

The Baracuta colab also continues for SS10 with a London-manufactured, lightweight slim fit G9 in Sand with a contrasting check fabric produced by Italy’s Albini. All new products are now available here.

The long standing collaboration between Griffin and Berghaus continues for Fall/Winter 2009. This season they present the forest camo Fortitude Jacket, the hooded Innsbruck Jacket, the Ignite liner jacket, as well as two technical backpacks. All product comes with collaborative branding and adds some nice style to the technical silhouettes of Berghaus. The collection will be released September 14th.

This season sees the launch of a brand new collaborative project between Charge bikes and menswear designer Jeff Griffin. Both urban innovators in their own worlds, the two brands have united to create a limited edition fixed gear bike, due for release in early September. The bike comes in a white/blue colorway and the Griffin touch is best demonstrated with the desert camouflage saddle. The Griffin X Charge collaboration bike will be launched at the Eurobike exhibition on the 31st August 2009. These 500 limited edition bikes will be immediately available from selected stockists. UK brands Griffin and Mackintosh continue to work together this season. Previously we have seen them collaborate on Mackintosh’s signature item – the trenchcoat. This season they chose to do something new. The Smock Coat is more sporty and also more technical. The 100% waterproof hooded jacket, features adjustbale tabs around the neck, a fitted hood and comes in a British DPM camouflage look. The jacket is made in Scotland and available now.

Once again Griffin and Baracuta get together and they present an all new slim fit G9. For Fall 2009 the jacket comes in a green micro dogtooth fabric on one side and on the other side it features a desert camo DPM pattern. The Griffin Studio designed two different size messenger bags, each coming in two colorways, as well as matching wallets and pouches. Once again UK brands Berghaus and Griffin joined forces on two new Gore-Tex jackets. This time they worked on the GEJED Jacket and the hooded ELYSIAN Jacket. Both pieces come in much more color than previous collaborations between the two, making them perfect for the snowboarding season.

Griffin just recently collaborated with Mackintosh, re-interpreting their classic rain coat. Once again they are getting together with a brand of heritage – this Baracuta. With Baracuta they worked on the G9 jacket, added a “tree” camouflage pattern on the upper and kept the classic tartan pattern on the lining.

Mackintosh is a brand of modern heritage built on true craftsmanship and a two hundred year history. A true innovator, Charles Macintosh developed the process of spreading rubber onto cotton creating the world’s first formal waterproof fabric.

Griffin chose to work on the classic Mackintosh Trench Coat. They made two colorways – one kahki colorway and one DPM camouflage colorway.

Since several seasons we already report about the on-going collaboration between Berghaus and Griffin. Berghaus enables the fashion label Griffin to translate their designs onto highly technical jackets, similar to the collaboration of Supreme and The North Face.

UK label Griffin got together with Kickers to create a small collection of collaborative sneakers. They took the Kickers Lo and the Kickers Hi to add their very own Griffin flair. The outcome are two white sneakers and two brown sneakers. Both come in premium leathers and with laser engraved graphics on the side of the sneakers. Left and right shoe always feature a different color on the outer sole and the mix of premium leathers used on the sneakers gives them a good look. Overall simple, but definitely interesting. They are now available in the Griffin online store.
