Sixpack France presents a nice blacked out Varsity Jacket, designed by Swiss graphic artist Grotesk. True classic form with a wool body, black leather sleeves and American inspired logos.

Here we take a look at their artist collaboration t-shirts, including designs this seasons by Hajime Sorayama, Grotesk, Stefan Marx, Robert Crumb, Todd James and others. We could not think of another band that currently works on a continuous basis in every collection with such a strong line-up of artists.

Nike continues with their Colab project this Fall, involving Nike apparel and designers from around the world. For Fall 2009 they have worked with Mark Ward and Grotesk. Both artists have worked on a bomber style short jacket and a couple of t-shirts. The Mark Ward pieces are more subtle and stick to black and white colors. Grotesk used some more color, while overall keeping clean looks as well. The Nike Colab Fall 2009 Collection will get to stores in August and is already now available for pre-order at Hanon.

The new issue of Juxtapoz magazine is hitting newsstands and this time artist/designer Grotesk created two covers for the issue. One cover for the newsstand, the other one for the subscribers.

“Fine artist Chris Johanson, video game and fine artist, Coro, graffiti legend MQ, fine artist and all around normal guy, Skinner, photographers Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant, and LA-artist Steve Olson. As you can see the issue is once again packed with interesting content and not only worth picking up because of the cover art.

For this years Sneakerness event in Zürich, Nike invited the two Swiss artists and designers Grotesk and +41 to create an exclusive and unique pair of sneakers with NikeiD Bespoke. Two iconic shoes served as inspiration for the design – the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan Sky High. The result, the NikeiD Bespoke designed by +41 and Grotesk, will be on display the first time ever during the Sneakerness on May 9th 2009 in Zürich.

With tons of possibilities when creating a Nike iD Bespoke they decided to take an honest and simple design approach. This in many ways is sympathetic of the existing design elements: One example is the 3 red laces rings referring to those of the AJ3. The shoe itself is well balanced just right with a choice of colors that are very subtle. Both designers felt strongly that they wanted to design a shoe more classical, more elegant and referential to what they would really like to wear, going deep into the design detail using simplicity without using and abusing the many colors and materials that are available.

If you want to see the sneaker live, make sure to make your way out to Zürich this weekend. The event takes place on May 9th at Schiffbau. Sneakerness will serve as a platform to sell and trade sneakers, with lots of exciting things going on around the event, including exhibitions, artist appearances, Nike iD studio, and an afterparty with Bobbito Garcia and DJ Clark Kent. Once again artist Grotesk gets together with 5 Boro. He designed the Pigeon League deck a couple of years ago for 5 Boro, playing with varsity symbols. For the upcoming season Grotesk remixed the original design, added some silver to it and also designed matching wheels.

Expect the 5 Boro x Grotesk Pigeon League 2008 Pack to be released soon.

Artist Grotesk designed for 5Boro NYC a skateboard deck and matching t-shirt. The artist used his collection of stickers as an inspiration for the design. But not any stickers, weare here talking about the stickers that are placed in NYC next to store gates, letting owners know who to call in the case of malfunction. Grotesk collected lots of them and now used them for this design.
Both Goresk x 5Boro NYC pieces will be released on September 15th on the 5Borowebsite.

Swiss graphic artist and Brooklyn resident Grotesk has partnered with Upper Playground to produce an exclusive Barack Obama print. In the last decade Grotesk has developed a passion for folk art, street photography, hand-painted signs, vintage sport graphics, old school hip-hop music and urban anthropology.
Grotesk’s Barack Obama poster is part of an ongoing series from Upper Playground of artist collaborations in support of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. Upper Playground has endorsed Obama’s campaign by creating posters featuring artwork from The Date Farmers, Munk One, Ron English, Alex Pardee, Morning Breath, Mac, Sam Flores and Mear One, in addition to printing T-shirts with Shepard Fairey’s Obama graphics to help support the campaign.
There were 200 prints made that are signed and numbered, but only 30 prints will be available for sale and each poster retails for $200. The limited-edition 18"X24" print is available exclusively online.
All proceeds from the sales of the poster will go directly to creating more campaign t-shirts, posters, and stickers by other artists in support of Obama’s bid for President.

Our favorite t-shirt brand from France, Sixpack, has released some new t-shirts at Sold Out. As usual the tees are graphically very strong and also the line-up of artists that they worked with on these is impressive. This latest drop features works by UpNorth, Huskmitnavn, Bastards Graphics, Christopher D., Steven Harrington and Grotesk.
