As part of their new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, Gucci has released silicone iPad 2 and iPhone 4 cases. Coming each in a series of colors, they feature the classic GG all-over pattern. Considering that it is Gucci, the 160 USD iPad case and 90 USD iPhone case are priced quite well. The question now only is, if you want a rubber case from a brand like Gucci?

Sip Chat Chow created a fun series of ‘Cereal Couture’, turning the most normal breakfast food into luxury items. The series includes the Burberry Flakes, Cartier Crunch, Gucci Loops, Chanel Cocos and Louis Vuitton Charms. All in all the cereal boxes are well executed and mix the iconic logos and patterns of the respective brand’s with traditional breakfast cereal design.

After a helmet, here comes not the bike from the Bianchi by Gucci Collection. The bike features a black carbon fibre frame, as well as a black seat and handlebar, featuring the iconic diamond pattern. The Bianchi by Gucci logo is featured on the seat and the frame. Of course this Italian team-up does not come cheap – the bike is now available for 14′000 USD. But, not too bad, if you consider that they included a water bottle, headlights and a wheel reflector.

Italian bike maker Bianchi and luxury goods brands Gucci get together on a bike helmet. Presented are both a white and a black helmet, featuring the signature green/red/green branding by Gucci on the upper with integrated sun visor. Coming in two sizes, the helmets can now be purchased from Gucci for 890 USD.

For the re-opening of the Italian luxury brand’s flagship store in the Tokyo Shinjuku area, they are releasing a Tokyo limited edition sneaker collection. Gucci creative director Frida Giannini has designed overall 8 exclusive sneakers for the occasion, some in more classic Gucci colors and materials, others looking completely different and therefore more interesting. Each sneaker comes with a special tag, marking the occasion, as well as a silver military Gucci tag.

Since a while now we have been seeing luxury brands pick up in the heritage trend as well. While they do seem a little late now, they do without a doubt produce some compelling product. It might have little to do with their own heritage, but a brand like Gucci can of course produce a very high quality boot, which is the case with their new Duck Boot, which just released for Fall/Winter 2011.

A mix of waxed cotton and leather are featured on the upper, sitting on a gum outer sole. The color combination is beautiful, details are on point and branding has been thankfully kept rather subtle. All that said, we can actually not really say anything negative about the boot, we are just doubting that there is a big market for it. Would the guy that is into duck boots, buy them from Gucci?

By now we have all gotten used to see all rubber shoes that actually look pretty good. Native has been making big moves in that market segment, offering a range of well designed styles, bringing out all time classics in rubber.

Rather unexpected, yet interesting, Gucci has now released their classic moccasins in rubber. They come in navy and green, featuring rubber uppers and outer sole and of course the classic Gucci silver details on the tongue. Priced at 195 USD, these are now available from Gucci stores around the globe and online here.

Fiat and Gucci continue to work together on the popular Fiat 500 city car and present a new convertible version. Once again, just like in their first collaboration, the new Fiat 500C by Gucci, comes in white and black colorways, in this case featuring in both versions a black canvas roof. The roof features the iconic Gucci stripe branding. Look out for a release in the coming months, with a starting price tag of around 20′000 Euros.

From the Gucci Fall/Winter 2011 Collection we present a new pair of hiking boots. Coming in premium brown leather, the boots feature metal eyelets and subtle stitching details, with the brand’s signature colors only being placed on the laces, making a nice accent on the otherwise very clean boot. The leather mid sole and white outer sole make for a nice finish.

VMAN has produced a fantastic new photo spread, entitled ‘Tribes of Autumn’. Featured are  the following brands: rag & bone, Dries van Noten, Raf Simons, Neil Barrett, Kris Van Assche, Dsquared2, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Thom Browne, Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Burberry Prorsum, Jil Sander, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Gucci, D&G and Dior Homme.

Rather than mixing the brands, the magazine chose to do one shot per brand, featuring several complete outfits of the brand from the coming Fall/Winter 2011 season. We really like that each brand was given proper space and that each brand’s clothing was highlighted in the respective mood of the coming collection. The outcome is a series of images that give a great round-up of what you will be seeing in stores in the coming months.

After having worked with Diesel before, Fiat gets together with Italian luxury brand Gucci on a limited edition version of its iconic Fiat 500 car. To complement the two colorways of the car, Gucci also created a limited edition capsule collection, consisting of clothing, bags, caps, sunglasses, a watch and more. The collection runs under the name “500 by Gucci”.

“The black and white colours of the 500 by Gucci, in unique eye-catching glossy pearl glass paint, set the stage for a neo-classic black and white film. These two distinct colors complement one another: black, with detailing in shiny chrome paired with interiors that contrast sharp black and white, for a contemporary and racy attitude. White, with satin chrome detailing and ivory and black interiors for a softer, sophisticated look.

The exterior is further personalized by rims for 195/45 R16 wheels, including the unmistakable retro design of the rays, harmonizing with the surrounding exterior colors and representing a novelty for this category of car. The hubcaps feature the interlocking GG in the same color of the body of the car and the cursive Gucci signature appears on the hatchback as well on the doorpost. The version equipped with 1.4 of 100 horsepower comes with rear break callipers in Gucci green. The car’s silhouette is outlined by Gucci’s signature green-red-green stripe, which runs along the entire perimeter and links the exterior to the interior. The stripe also appears inside on the seats, on the gear shift, the key-cover, the carpets, and in an innovative finish on the seatbelts. The interior space of the 500 by Gucci is stylish yet functional down to every last detail: chic embroidery, exclusive materials, glossy and satin chromes, the velvety varnish on the “radioboard,” the two-toned seats in Frau leather with the Guccissima print.”

The 500 by Gucci will initially be available from April 1st to June 30th exclusively by pre-order online at www.500bygucci.com, with a list price in Italy that starts from 17,000 euro all inclusive. The car will also be displayed in exclusive locations in metropolitan cities such as Paris, London and Tokyo, followed by the European commercial launch in July. It will then become available in the rest of the world at the end of the year.

Selectism weighs in on the recent Gucci retro Tennis 84 sneaker.

Corner boy heritage. About damn time.

Like our friends at Complex and Nice Kicks, we’re pretty excited about the return of the Gucci Tennis ‘84. The sneaker are appropriately priced a $375… these aren’t street classics for nothing. What else is there to say? You either get it. Or, you don’t rate Raekwon among your style icons (for the record Rae > McQueen). Should you need a primer, refer to Mr. Warnett’s “Crack Footwear.”

We came across these new Gucci High Top sneakers from their Spring 2011 Collection. We like both brown colorways of the sneaker, the added leather laces and the fact that you can flip down the ankle support. Not too much Gucci branding, which usually ruins it.
