As part of the Spring 2008 collection, Vans Syndicate got together with tattoo artist Grime. The artist worked on two Slip-ons and on a Half Cab. The sneakers come in a beige/black colorway, covered in the art by Grime.

We give you a preview of the Vans Syndicate 007 Spring 2008 range. Besides the Pendleton Pack that we presented to you already earlier on, there is another pack in this collection, which consists of two slip-ons and a Half Cab. It comes in an interesting black/beige colorway with each shoe featuring graphics on the upper. Also the way the upper flows into the front part of the sole is very interesting.
Just like in previous seasons, Vans Syndicate explores the influence of Latino culture on the southern California skating scene, that is no different in this line-up.

We give you a first preview of the Vans Syndicate 007 series. John Cardiel worked on part of the collection and used his favorite material – Pendleton Flannel. Three styles are part of the pack, including the Sk8 Hi, Half Cab and another lo-top shoe. Each sneaker comes with a different Pendleton flannel on the upper. Along with the sneakers comes also a shirt, of course also in flannel.
Three classics have found their way together in this collaboration and the outcome is a great product. These will be released in stores soon. Via Aspekt Ratio.

Vans Syndicate teams up with writer, tattooist and painter Grime. The artist, known for both his font work as well as his graffiti/tattoo art, designed a slip-on and a Half Cab for this collaboration. The shoes come in dirty white/black with graphics by the artist going over most of the sneakers.
Once again Vans Syndicate made a wise and interesting choice by collaboration with Grime, an artist that has deep roots in skateboarding and appreciation for the brand. We suspect that these will drop along with the Pendleton collaboration as part of the Vans Syndicate Spring ‘08 line. The sneakers will be released along with t-shirts, also designed by the artist. Vans has an incredible year behind itself. Their regular lines, as well as their collaborations and especially the Syndicate collection, has been very well received. With people increasingly being fed up by the multicolor faux fur patent leather reflective 3M releases by the big players in the market, Vans has carved out a solid market segment for itself, delivering solid classics in meaningful new design.
That also does not seem to stop any time soon. 2007 was certainly also the plaid year. We cannot remember a single brand out there that did not go into plaid, either in the form of shirts or sneakers. Vans takes it one step further and brings their classics together with Pendleton Woolen Mills, one of the most traditional and respected wool companies in the US. The outcome is the Pendleton by Vans pack under the Syndicate umbrella. Thanks to Crooked Tongues we can show you some first pictures of this exciting release.
The pack consists of a Sk8-Hi, Half Cab and some Old Skools. Each sneaker has an upper mixed of black premium suede and Pendleton plaid. Our favorite is for sure the Half Cab in this release. The pack will be released in February 2008!

Most of the Vans Syndicate Holiday 2007 collection we have already showed you. It consists of the Mr. Cartoon Sk8 Hi’s, the Gusset Half Cabs and the latest installment of the Vans x W)Taps collaboration. Here we can finally show you some good pictures of this last collaboration, consisting of an Era and a Sk8 Hi. They come in all black with the uppers made up of black premium suede and canvas. The canvas parts feature a red devil design. The Vans Syndicate x W)Taps “Red Devil” pack is part of the Rad BMX Series.
The Mr. Cartoon Sk8 Hi’s and the Gusset Half Cabs are already in store, but you can check them out again after the jump. The W)Taps collaboration in getting into select stores now.

Here is another release by Vans Syndicate. This time they worked on the Half Cab and brought it out in a series of three colorways. It comes in an all black colorway, black/brown and also a cream colorway, certainly the most interesting in this line-up.
They are now available at the Slam City Skate online store, along with the new Slam City Skate x New Era cap.

Here you see the latest from the Vans Fall/Winter 2007 collection, the Half Cab Camo Series. The series consists of three Vans Half Cabs, that feature camouflage patterns on the upper – sand, green and black. The Vans Half Cab Camo Series is now available at Goods.

Vans got together with UK Skateboard Supply store 50:50, to celebrate the 10th birthday of the UK store. They made a Half Cab that comes with some nice details, including corduroy, black and light blue suede. The 50:50 logo is embroidered and on the outside and printed on the inner sole.
Being sold exclusively via 50:50, there’s 197 pairs available, and they’ll be released to coincide with the opening of the celebratory exhibition at the Centre Space gallery in Bristol on the 24th August, running until the 29th and carrying a ton of magazine pieces, promo materials and video with Massive Attack’s Daddy G providing the sounds. As part of their Fall 2007 Vault Collection Vans presents the “Real Deal” Pack. It consist of overall four models – Sk8 Hi, Half Cab, Prison Issue and Chukka. They all come in both black and white premium leathers with contrasting red stitching on the back heel and otherwise tonal stitching. A very nice and solid pack. They will be released in August at Zozo.
