Base Control presents a solid new luggage and accessory collection using Harris Tweed on all pieces. The line consists of pouches, wallets, messenger bags and backpacks. The bags come in black, grey, as well as navy and all look very solid, both in terms of functionality and price. The collection is now available from Basecontrol.

For centuries the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra have woven the magical cloth the world knows as Harris Tweed, Clo Mhor in the original Gaelic- ‘The big cloth’.
From time immemorial, the inhabitants of the West of Scotland, including the Outer Hebrides had made cloth entirely by hand. As the Industrial Revolution reached Scotland, the mainland turned to mechanisation but the Outer Islands retained their traditional processes. Lewis and Harris had long been known for the excellence of the weaving done there, but up to the middle of the nineteenth century, the cloth was produced mainly for home use or for a purely local market.
As Part of the Track Top Initiative in which one of the iconic adidas track tops is transformed into different styles and looks through use of new fabric tech and design twists, this Super TT Tweed is constructed from 100% Harris Tweed for a unique style with nappa leather details and a stretch satin lining.

Japanese brand Swagger has released their Harris Tweed series in collaboration with Porter and with New Era. The series consists of Porter backpacks and New Era 5950’s, each coming in three colorways.

Previously we have showed you some smaller Neighborhood x Porter cases, here are now the more prominent pieces of the Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Neighborhood collaborated with Porter and Harris Tweed on these pieces and created a messenger bag as well as two shopping bags with a nice winter feel to them. The details on the bags are really nice with custom buttons and closing mechanism.

Japanese brand Swagger has released a series of new caps and hats and there are several interesting pieces in the release. They got together once again with New Era and released this time their Star Knives New Era cap. It comes in two colorways, features a Star Knife all-over design and the Swagger logo as a 3D embroidery on the front.
The brand also released a Gore-Tex Army Cap. In style it comes close to the Original Fake Gore-Tex cap that released a couple of months ago. The Gore-Tex Army Cap comes in overall 5 colorways. If you need something a little dressier, they also got you covered with their Harris Tweed hats. They come in a flashy red and more subtle green and brown tones!
