This past weekend, Stussy opened their latest Chapter Store, in Honolulu on Hawaii.
“Stussy Honolulu features original artwork by NYC graffiti legend, Ghost, as well as personal touches from Leilow’s Jules Gayton, an original member of the Stussy NYC Tribe. DJ Jules established Leilow in 2003, after years of globetrotting and a desire to slow things down. Jules was able to combine his passion for music, art, skateboarding, surfing, vintage clothes and collecting into Leilow. Jules’ success with Leilow led to Stussy Honolulu. Nexus VII designed two special store tees (Stussy HI x Nexus VII Tee and Stussy HI x Nexus VII Posse Tee) just for the opening.”

An opening event will follow soon, as well as more produced especially made for the store. A Stussy Chapter Store headed by Jules Gayton from Leilow has to be something promising.

Is it not so long ago, when Leilow Hawaii presented their first New Era caps, since then they have been presenting hot new creations on a regular basis. Their fur pieces have probably turned most heads so far. Their latest release is this Woven Print New Era cap, a little more subtle then what we saw before from them. It comes in grey, blue satin inner lining, and a woven print on the exterior. There is no Leilow logo embroidery at all on the cap. Pics via Jules Gayton.

We already presented you the In4mation Fall 2007 collection, both the t-shirts and the large cut & sew offering. Here you see now some t-shirts by the brand that are exclusively available at their own stores on Hawaii. Both the Shriners t-shirt and the Locals t-shirt come in two colorways.

Flip Da Bird, another Hawaiian brand that we reported about previously mainly due to interesting collaborations with New Era and Run Athletics, has now released a new series of t-shirts in collaboration with Fitted Hawaii.
Overall the brand released 4 styles in each two colorways, of which one is the Fitted Hawaii collaboration. The collection is now available at In4mation. Check out the other t-shirts after the jump.

Just last week we previewed the In4mation Fall 2007 t-shirts that are getting into stores now. Here a preview of the extensive cut & sew line that is also part of the Fall collection.
In4mation has made a big step from past seasons and evolves slowly but  steadily from a in-store brand to an actual brand that is ready to be distributed more widely. In the Fall 2007 cut & sew section the brand offers a bomber jacket, thick winter hoodies, crewneck sweaters, plaid jackets, a denim M-65 jacket and more. In4mation took mostly classic pieces and re-interpreted them, adding nice details, linings and technical features here and there.

Just yesterday we showed you the first part of the Leilow Fall 2007 t-shirts (check them out here again) and today we can already show you the next batch to check out.
The brand continues to develop their very own style and direction of design. In this line-up you will find both a Shogo Kobu x Leilow collaboration t-shirt and a Sade x Stuart Matthewman x Leilow t-shirt. Otherwise you find some classic Leilow graphics that have previously appeared on New Era caps or in another form. Pics via Jules Gayton.

Not too long ago we presented you the latest Leilow perforated leather New Era caps. The caps featured the new Leilow dot logo and that logo now also comes on a t-shirt along with the rest of the first part of the Leilow Autumn/Winter 2007 t-shirts.
While we see lots of other brands referencing comics, hip hop and other music related things in very obvious ways, it is nice seeing Leilow take another direction and presenting something a little more abstract. Lots of their designs make you think for a minute, which has gotten rare in the market. At the same time the designs stay very clean and do not become overly loud. Something that you cannot really say about their faux fur New Era caps. The brand is getting stronger every season, we are already looking forward to the A/W ‘07 cut & sew. Pics via Jules Gayton.

Leilow once again has something special to be released in collaboration with New Era. This time the Hawaiian brand created a perforated Leather cap. The faux leather cap comes with an all-over perforated design and comes in overall 4 styles – Black on Black with Black logo | Black on Black with White patch | White on White with White logo patch | White on White with Black patch.
The caps features satin inner linings and the new Leilow dots logo, which will also appear on t-shirts. Via Strictly Fitted.

Simple, conservative and subtle – black goes with anything. It can be mysterious, sexy and sophisticated – which brings us to the proverbial axiom, “Black Is Beautiful”. Black can also convey negative connotations as well, it represents times of mourning or even rebellion – which makes it a balanced color. Under the cover of darkness (black skies) is when the (Huakai’ipo) Hawaiian Night Marchers made their nightly procession. This Ele’Ele pack is for you – the royalty that keep us going strong year after year.

Here is the rundown on this soon to be classic hat. There are two different styles: The Pride hat which features a raised embroidery Old Hawaiian Style “H” and The Warrior hat which features a raised embroidery stitching of the late, great “King Kamehameha.” Both hats come in an exclusive linen fabric (the same fabric used on some of the finest Italian suits), a satin lining on the inside of the hat that features a collage of ancient Hawaiian weapons, FITTED crest stitched on the back and the FITTED crown that rests on the right side of the hat. Along with the hat is a matching black t-shirt which features the same collage print of the Hawaiian warrior weapons (seen on the lining of the hat), printed on the front of the t-shirt in a black tonal print, and “Black Is Beautiful” across the back of the shirt – also in a tonal print.
The pack will be released at Fitted Hawaii this coming Saturday, September 29th. Phone orders are excepted as well as of 2PM.

In4mation has steadily evolved and grown from one store to several and further more also grown their in-store brand into a brand that can easily compete with the rest of the market. This year In4mation introduced for the first time cut & sew pieces into their collection with hoodies, denim and some technical jackets. Today we present you the t-shirts of the collection and later this week the most extensive cut & sew the brand has ever released. The Fall 2007 collection consists of many strong and smart graphics. Many times one has to have a closer look in order to really understand the message behind the tee and one realizes the smart translation into design. At the same time the brand does not become too serious and sometimes uses in an almost ironic way very colorful design on a serious message.
