Designer Paul Smith collaborated with Audio-Technica on a pair of ATH-A50 full-size stereo headphones. The limited release headphones feature a gold aluminum housing inscribed with Mr. Smith’s signature and come packaged in a Paul Smith suiting fabric travel pouch. WeSC continues to work with interesting collaborators on their headphone collection – next up is The Berrics for Spring 2010. Founded by Steve Berra and Eric Koston, The Berrics is a skate park in Los Angeles and a cult in its own right within the skate world. The Berrics phones are suitably enigmatic – a punchy black design with orange wiring and white, distressed accents that evoke a truck-scuffed surface.

Matix Clothing branches out into the audio category with its first line of custom designed headphones. Their flagship model is the over-ear Domepiece which comes in a collaborative edition with Diamond Supply Co. through Matix pro skater Jeron Wilson. The headphones feature Diamond’s well known black and aqua colorway alongside chrome accents, rubberized coating and a jacquard fabric cord.

Matix headphones make their debut in retail stores this month with black/gold, white/red and camo colorways. The Diamond model drops January 2010 at finer skate shops and boutiques across the world. Retail is around $75 USD.

Last night we attended the launch of the new Heartbeats by Lady Gaga headphones in Berlin, as the IFA electronics tradeshow is currently in the city. Both Lady Gaga and Dr. Dre were in the house, atending the festivities. Here we give you now a first look at the Heartbeats by Lady Gaga Headphones, that will be officially released in October 2009 in a series of colorways.

We got an early look at some collaborative product from the Green Label Art Series 3. Claw Money, Pushead and the other artists got to design some product collaborations along with the bottle designs that they did. We present you the Claw Money New Era Cap, a Nathan Cabrera x adidas Superstar and UPSO x G-Shock DW-6900, as well as some Pushead x WeSC headphones.

AIAIAI unveils their first collaborative release with Australia’s Sneaker Freaker Magazine. The limited edition earbuds were designed in the classic Sneaker Freaker corporate colors, with a subtle grey speckle on the ear piece as a clear sneaker reference.

Together with Woody and the Sneaker Freaker crew, AIAIAI worked on a mixtape to accompany this release. Woody and his crew will contribute 30 minutes of Aussie tunes while the Danish folks at AIAIAI will add 30 minutes of Denmark’s finest. Although, the mixtape doesn’t hit until September, the earbuds are now available at AIAIAI.dk.

We start bringing you the first interesting product previews from the Bread & Butter tradeshow, that took off in Berlin today. WeSC continues to bring interesting new headphone styles, but raised the bar and brought Medicom Toy into the mix. They presented a series of headphones in collaboration with the Japanese toy company, who produced matching Bearbricks, as well as some Medicom Fabrick canvas accessories. The WeSC headphones were already very popular before, but this is definitely a nice addition to the offering. Overall there will be 4 sets from this series.

Hoon’s first collaboration is staying true to its luxury street wear roots by working with The Perfect Unison, a young french brand of top-range audio item. You might have heard about the brand before, as their first collaboration was with Dutch artist Parra.

This association has created Hoon x The Perfect Unison headphones – a new generation headphones that bring luxury and technical expertise together. The headphones are made to measure using both the newest technical methods and traditional French techniques.

The frame is made from nine layers of birch wood and covered in python skin on the exterior side and goat skin on the side closest to the head. The earpieces are made entirely from polished carbon fibre which is then varnished by hand.

The Hoon x The Perfect Unison headphones use the best audio technology, making it a quality professional product. Look out for a release at Colette on June 23rd.

WeSC continues with their very popular collaboration headphone range. Their Bongo model will soon be released in collaboration with DimMak, Cassius, The Glimmers and the Blooody Beetroots. In terms of design you find anything from really colorful to more subtle black/white designs in the range. Look out for a release in July at Hanon.

AiAiAi will be introducing new professional headphones, after coming into the market with earbuds a while back. The Scandinavian design is once again apparent, as the lines of the new headphones are super clean and the tonal nature of the new headphones makes them look very sharp. The Tracks are more casual lifestyle headphones, whereas the DJ headphones are intended for professionals. The new headphones will be released in August 2009.
