Force of Nature use the urn as a symbol for recognition of death as a part of life, and a reminder to enjoy and live our life while we have it. Last Friday, October 2nd 2009 FoN opened “The Urn Show” exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark where 15 Danish and international artists and designers decorated a traditional blank urn. The artists include Bigfoot, Andrew Schoultz and Henrik Vibskov (all pictured above) just to name a few. For a full list of artist and to bid on an urn vist Lauritz.com. All proceeds going to Drivkraeften a youth department of the Danish Cancer Treatment, with a focus on activities and contact amongst young people with cancer. Show runs until October 23, 2009.

As much as the collections of Danish designer Henrik Vibskov are sometimes too much out there for us, we love his accessories. If you are more of a subtle dresser you can definitly nicely upgrade your outfit with his colorful and out of the norm pieces. For Fall/Winter 2009 the offering is extensive and includes knitwear pieces such as beanies, gloves, blankets and scarfs. Furthermore the collection includes suspenders, laptop cases, tote bags, sunglasses and more. Of course you also find just like every season a couple of nice large-scale scarfs in the line-up, an item which has already become sort of a trademark for Vibskov. The pieces are now all available from Farfetch.

Up and coming Danish designer Henrik Vibskov recently presented his Spring 2010 Collection. With his usual over the top prints, color combinations and off-kilter silhouettes, the designer has embraced his signature edgy, avant-garde look that borders on the casual. Clearly, the full runway looks are not for everybody, but certain pieces here and there are definitely something we can handle.

Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov will take part in a interdisciplinary exhibition at DDC in Copenhagen later this summer. The exhibition will be at the same time as Copenhagen Fashion Week and you can for sure expect some interesting works from the designer. Here above only a small taste of what there is to come!

Over the weekend the first issue of Intersection Magazine Germany was launched in Berlin. When Henrik Vibskov designs a car, Pharrell Willimans gets photographed in Nigo’s apartment in Tokyo and Prada soap comes in a car box, you know that it is not your regular car magazine. The first issue looks very promising and delivers an interesting mix of cars, fashion and lifestyle.

Danish designer Henrik Vibskov has released his Spring/Summer 2009 eyewear collection. The collection consists of several styles, each coming in multiple colorways. The Nathan Road Glasses are a little more special, but also not for everybody. The Sunny is a very easy to wear style, inspired by the Wayfarer.

As usual the Danish designer offers some crazy colors and patterns in his collection, but overall the line has become a little more subtle and wearable, which we welcome. Once again the knitwear is our favorite, as it is completely different from other collections.

Mu Gallery never disappoints with their exhibitions. In recent years they hosted a number of really interesting artist exhibition, including Kaws, more recently The Changes and now Danish designer Henrik Vibskov opened his show there.

In a forest of hanging sticks, Danish designer, artist, and drummer Henrik Vibskov creates three worlds at MU this winter. Each world refers to one of the many attention-arousing performances with which he over the past couple of years has presented his collections in Paris and in other cities all over the world.
Usually, Vibskov’s surreal dream worlds are only inhabited by models wearing his creations. Lying down among hundreds of breasts on sticks, wandering across the black carrot fields, or music-cycling in the Fantabulous Bicycle Music Factory. At MU, however, it’s the audience that are given the chance to lose themselves in Vibskov’s universe entitled The Visit.

Luckily, our friends from Ontour, passed by the exhibition and therefore we can take a nice look at the worlds that the artist created.

In an unusual collaboration we can present you today the Quinny By Henrik Vibskov collection. The Danish designer has gotten together with the baby supply company and added his colorful patterns to a variety of pieces, including diaper bags, strollers, wipes and more. The collection also includes pieces for adults such as aponcho, sunglasses and an umbrella. 
It was about time that something happened in this market and now you have a new way of fitting out your kid and yourself! Via Selectism.

It seems like another classic is coming back into the sneaker game, after having left the stage for quite some time now – L.A. Gear. Soon we will see the release of their limited edition Kid Fireball sneaker in association with Patta, on September 12th. Via Sneaker Freaker.
We have seen Reebok come back strong with their 80’s sneakers in flashy designs, let’s see how L.A. Gear will do, coming from the same era.
