Highsnobiety x PUMA 'Bread & Butter Berlin' Bikes-01
We’ve always enjoyed the way has PUMA integrated bikes into their sneaker projects, so when they asked us if we’d like to team up with them on a pair of bikes to ride during the week of Bread & Butter Berlin, we were more than happy to oblige.

The outcome is two clean rides, the first a matte olive, fold-able 8-speed cruiser with an integrated basket and vintage style seat, while the second is a more agile grey and white fixed gear. Both bikes are outfitted with both PUMA and Highsnobiety branding, alongside a Bread & Butter Berlin hit.

Look for us and our extended friends and family riding these bad boys around town all week.

adidas Originals & Highsnobiety Present: adidas Originals in Copenhagen

YouTube Preview Image

In time for Copenhagen Fashion Week adidas took over the city with a series of initiatives. Included were several skate spots, the Pirates from London painted several containers, the adidas Originals Blu Collection for Spring 2011 was celebrated and a lot more. adidas also flew in some of their pro skaters from around the globe to skate the several spots. The idea was that any skater in town could use them, get filmed and participate in a competition. As a nice finish, the painted containers went on a boat tour through Copenhagen, with even the bridges of the city opening up to let the containers pass.

Check out the video, documenting the different initiatives. Enjoy!

Highsnobiety Q&A – Daniel Beckerman on the Super x Highsnobiety 5th Anniversary “Andrea” Sunglasses

super highsnobiety andrea sunglasses 1 Highsnobiety Q&A Daniel Beckerman on the Super x Highsnobiety 5th Anniversary Andrea Sunglasses

We caught up with one-half of SUPER, Daniel Beckerman, to chat about the new Highsnobiety “Andrea” sunglasses, which are were released Thurs (and have already sold out through SUPER online). Union and colette will be receiving stock shortly.

1. Let’s talk about the design process for these frames. How long did it take to go from idea to release?

We have always talked about making something very “snob” and elegant. Many ideas were coming up and as usual some to crazy or difficult to realize some others not so exciting. At that time we were working and experimenting a lot with leather and combined materials. When we saw that Briar look we thought it would have been perfect to include in some Super new future collection, then realize that was just perfect or the HS project, showed it to David that loved it and that was kind of it.

Super x Highsnobiety 5th Anniversary “Andrea” Sunglasses

Super x Highsnobiety "Andrea" Sunglasses

A couple of years ago we first got together with our friends from Super to collaborate on a pair of sunglasses. In the meantime the brand has gotten older and every season we are pleased to see how they mature and deliver one solid collection after the other. We wanted to get together again and follow up on our previous collaborative work.

Today we are pleased to show you the result of this last project. We chose their still new Andrea silhouette and got inspired by the 70s. Original vintage tortoise was used on the new sunglasses, mixed with the front body and half of the arms being covered in premium leather. Our logo was embedded on the arms of the sunglasses. As usual these sunglasses are of course hand made in Italy to the highest quality standards and feature premium Zeiss lenses. Furthermore the sunglasses will come with a custom premium case, staying in line with the silhouette and style. We hope you like them as much as we do.

Due to the limited amount of vintage tortoise that we could get hold off, the sunglasses are limited to only 80 pairs worldwide. They are available from colette Paris, Soto Berlin and other select stores around the globe.  For everybody not close to one of these stores, they will also release online today at 5pm CET time in the official Super online store here.

Many detailed images of the Super x Highsnobiety “Andrea” Sunglasses follow after the jump.

Highsnobiety Print Issue 1 Summer 2010 – The 80 Page Flyer

Highsnobiety Print Issue 1 Summer 2010 - The 80 Page Flyer

The tradeshows in Berlin are starting tomorrow. This time around we wanted to create something to give to people to take back home. A while ago our photography editor Robert Wunsch hit me up about creating a little hand-out of our most recent fashion shoots. We went from there and soon after we were sitting in front of 120 pages of content, which kind of surpassed the initial idea. We went back into editing, but it was simply impossible to go below 80 pages and that is what you see here now. We do not want to call it a magazine just yet and for the moment we are not sure where this is going, how regular it will be coming out, but we can for sure say that it was a fun project.

The print issue is filled with interviews, photoshoots, photo essays and more. We worked with local Berlin artists on several pages and also included a Berlin storeguide, so that all of the people visiting this week will not miss anything.

The Highsnobiety Print Issue 1 Summer 2010 will be available for free at numerous stores in the city, galleries, as well as all the tradeshows. Make sure to grab one and we hope you will like it.

A small preview of the issue follows after the jump with more to come throughout the week.
