Hixsept Five Minutes Ago & You Know You Know Collections
France-based Hixsept offers a look into their latest creations for Fall 2009. Thought of impulsively and lightly, the Five Minutes Ago series consists of scarves made out of original Nigerian WAX fabrics (seen after the jump). These models are a limited edition of 15 units and are only available at Hixsept’s online store. You Know You Know is the title of a new series designed around the concept of “remix”. Each garment included in this series is a reinterpretation of one from a previous collection. Above you see two of these items in a button up pocket tee and a baseball jacket. Each of these pieces is a limited edition of 150 units.

Hixsept Atomic Peace T-Shirts and Poster

hixsept atomic peace 0 540x360 Hixsept Atomic Peace T Shirts and Poster

As part of French label Hixsept’s 10th Anniversary celebration, they’ve introduced a new series of t-shirts under the moniker Atomic Peace. This three t-shirt lineup features a set of re-interpreted symbols created with patchwork shapes and colors. Each design is limited to 150 pieces, and features a special 1999-2009 tag.

To complement the t-shirts, Hixsept recruited artist Samuel Francois to design a poster to represent the collection. The result is a drawing full of worrying realism, where a strange character becomes the guru of a new world where anarchy, peace and duality become universal precepts. This poster is limited to 300 examples and is available for free at all Hixsept retailers.

HIXSEPT S/S ‘08 T-Shirt Series

hixsept ss08 collection - highsnobiety
Hixsept was born in 1999, fusing the ideas of two french graffiti writters : Hëx and Hept.

Forerunners of the process consisting of adapting graffiti related items to clothes, they constantly try to mix art, graphic design and clothing. The brand itself always willing to stay on the side. One course of action: create and show. The artistic environment created around Hixsept makes it a brand with attitude, a graphical activist through urban art.
In there most recent collection they created a series of overall 10 t-shirts. They were designed around the idea of bringing a new perspective when it comes to think about the making of a tee-shirt. Hixsept diverts the basic format considering it as one of the essential piece of our wardrobe. Each model is designed and thought through down to its smallest detail, has its own identity, fights for a story and perfectly fits into the global harmony of the series.
They re-interpreted some subversive patterns, paid homage to the alternative movements as well as to 80’s HipHop and the fanzines.  Each model is released in a limited edition of 200 pieces.
One can say a lot about a t-shirt, surprisingly, because many might argue that “it’s only a t-shirt”. In the case of Hixsept one can see that a lot of work went into each piece.
Have a look at the line after the jump and you will see what we are talking about.
