CLOT continues to work with Japanese artist Madsaki on their Alienegra design pieces. For Spring 2012 they have also brought Brooklyn artist Kaws into the mix and he added his signature cross eye ‘X’ design to the existing design by Madsaki, resulting in a very vibrant overall look. The parka hoodie will be released on February 10th, 2012, at Juice stores.

It is funny how trends go. A couple of years ago we could not see all over prints and loud graphics anymore and now after having watched everything tone down, become simple and subtle, we are happy when we come across something a little more exciting. As happy as we are that the heritage trend in recent seasons resulted in an overall closer look at quality of goods, things tend to get a little too simple and even a bit boring.

Christopher Kane always delivers on that end, presenting every season a new set of strong graphics, placed on premium garments. For Spring/Summer 2012 he presents his new mechanics prints. We showed you the t-shirts here, and today we present the newly released hoodies of the men’s collection, that are now available from Browns.

We recently gave you a look here at U.S. Alteration, a new Los Angeles-based brand specializing in basics, and now we follow up that look with a few more pieces. A few items have dropped over at Union Los Angeles, including a french terry hooded pullover, a fleece crewneck, a scarf, and bandanna. Each item features some subtle beaded embellishments and the simple “A” logo branding. Check out Union now for availability.

When done right, we always like streetwear brands flipping high fashion logos and brands and taking an ironic stand towards them. Some of you might remember the ‘Comme des Fuck Down’ graphic by SSUR a couple of years ago.

As part of their Holiday 2011 Collection, Diamond Supply Co. now presents their take of Comme des Garcons PLAY. They flipped their diamond logo, making it look similar to the PLAY heart logo and added the ‘Player’ tag line to it. T-Shirts, hoodies and crewneck sweaters featuring the graphic are now in stock at Caliroots.

Stussy Canada has released some new goods for Fall/Winter 2011. They keep it simple and classic this time, offering up a series of t-shirts, crewneck sweaters and hoodies, featuring a new graphic on the front and their ‘Running The North’ theme on the back. Continuing to work together, Japanese brands Loopwheeler and NEXUSVII presents a new button-up hoodie for Fall/Winter 2011. When it comes to terry cotton products, Loopwheeler remains the specialist to go to. For NEXUSVII they cooked up something a little more special this season, playing with two colors on each hoodie, adding premium buttons to it and of course the special red collaboration tab.

For Fall 2011 XLarge worked with SSUR on a capsule collection. The line-up includes a t-shirt, a hoodie, as well as two caps. All items feature a skeleton version of the XLarge logos along with a SSUR signature. Classic material, that will be released in Japan on September 23rd, 2011.

Here is already the next collaboration by Stussy Japan. They got together with Champion and worked as part of the Rochester Collection on a series of hoodies and zip hoodies. The line has a vintage look, both in terms of washing and graphic design. It will be released on September 10th.

Supreme sticks to its roots and presents collaborative product with New York City artist Futura. Together they worked on a hoodie and some caps. The hoodie reads in front ‘Supreme’ and in the back ‘Fuck You Pay Me’, matching the print on the caps. Both pieces come in a series of colorways and will release later this week at Supreme stores.

For Spring/Summer 2011, HUF and Diamond Supply Co. have gotten together to produce a small capsule collection. Illustrating the brief history of both brands, the line consists of caps, t-shirts and hoodies, all paying tribute to the Brooklyn Banks of NYC (HUF-owner Keith Hufnagel’s original city), the Embarcadero of San Francisco (Diamond-owner Nick Tershay’s original city and the meeting point of the two founders), and Fairfax of Los Angeles (the final location of both company storefronts). This collection will be exclusive to HUF Los Angeles and diamondsupplyco.com. Both companies will offer the entire collection of hats and tees, with each brand hosting it’s own specific colorways in the hoodies. The capsule is set to release in-store at HUF LA on April 2nd, and online at diamondsupplyco.com at 12 noon of the same day.

Who knew you needed 4 different entities to produce a hoodie? Well, CLOT gets together with Madsaki to present a new version of their Alienegra Parka, and this time also invited Kazuki and Kaws to add their own details to it.

“Bridging together three of the world’s foremost creators, the latest installment of the Aliengera series comes via a grey edition parka. Decked out in a full-print motif, the jacket features the original Alienegra thorn pattern created by world-renowned artist Madsaki. Complimenting his efforts is the scheme application by well-known designer Kazuki Kuraishi, a continued collaborator with the CLOT brand. Furthermore, KAWS brings his own unique spin to the project with a reflective “X” cross treatment, seen throughout the piece. A camouflage mask completes the look along with leather detailing on the pockets and elbow patches, all culminating in collaborative wizardry!”

The parka jacket will be released at Juice stores on March 18th.

For Spring/Summer 2011 once again Loopwheeler worked on a couple of hoodies with Original Fake. They present zip up hoodies in navy/grey, as well as black and grey, using an interesting “X” panel construction on the back. Otherwise the hoodies keep a clean look with no prints or any other distraction.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, Japanese brand Nexus VII presents the Ultimate Hoodie II, an update to last season’s hoodie. Produced by MARUWA Textile Industries Co., Ltd. using tightly knitted sweatshirt material horizontally to avoid loosing its shape. Further details can be found on the zipper and the cuffs, resulting in an overall premium hoodie.
