Here comes another interesting variation from the Hublot Big Bang watch, announced during Baselworld – the Big Bang “All Black Carbon”.
“Completely black, completely matt, completely true to Hublot’s trademark concept of “invisible visibility”, this is the first time that a Big Bang has been made entirely from carbon fibre. The construction of its 44 mm case and dial called for very special expertise in the working of the 100% carbon fibre. Its completely black HUB4100 movement (black PVD, ruthenium and black gold coating) extends the All Black Carbon concept to the whole piece, for a light, intriguing, almost stealthy look. This is all rounded off by a black alligator gummy strap, ultra-flexible and comfortable by virtue of its black natural rubber inner surface, bringing a refined touch to this already cult model.”

After having presented the Hublot Big Bang Black Caviar watch a while ago, the Swiss watch maker introduced this week during Baselworld the new White Caviar version. Yet another unique and innovative watch from Hublot.
“Made entirely from ceramic (the ideal material for a watch: 30% lighter than steel, 100% scratchproof, 100% anti-allergenic, 100% unalterable and rust-proof) including the crown and dial, the Big Bang White Caviar sports a unique design directly inspired by the famous One Million $ Black Caviar. Bedecked in uniform shades of white under the concept of “invisible visibility”, and with its ceramic reliefs designed, cut, bevelled and polished like baguette diamonds, it comes in a diameter of 41 mm and is equipped with the automatic mechanical movement HUB1112.”

While the new orang hand Rolex Explorer II might be the highlight of Baselworld 2011 for many, we came across another beauty today, this time from watch brand Hublot – the carbon fibre encased King Power “Cathedral”.
“To mark the 2011 Basel Fair Hublot is presenting a world first, with a minute repeater watch featuring two “cathedral” type gongs, a tourbillon and column wheel chronograph, with carbon fiber bridges, in a case made from carbon fiber. This is a perfect illustration of “Fusion” between great watchmaking tradition and the technology of the future.”
Other parts of the watch are made of titanium and rubber. A sophisticated, yet sporty looking watch coming from Hublot.

When it comes to the sportier watch category, the Hublot Big Bang still remains a favorite of ours. Prior to the upcoming Basel World show, we can preview today the new Hublot Big Bang Black Caviar.
“Made entirely from ceramic (the ideal material for a watch: 30% lighter than steel, 100% scratchproof, 100% anti-allergenic, 100% unalterable and rust-proof), including the crown and dial (which is a first for Hublot), the Big Bang Black Caviar sports a unique design directly inspired by the famous One Million $ Black Caviar. Bedecked in uniform shades of black under the concept of “invisible visibility”, and with its reliefs designed, cut, bevelled and polished like the baguette black diamonds of its big sister, it comes in a diameter of 41 mm and is equipped with the automatic mechanical movement HUB1112. This watch features a date window at 3 o’clock and is mounted on a brilliant black “glossy” alligator strap stitched on black rubber, as always with Hublot, to provide exceptional comfort, flexibility and robustness. 42-hour power reserve, and water resistant to 10 bar (100 meters). “
The look of the watch is simply stunning. Expect a release in the coming months.

Hublot presents a new version of the La Clef du Temps watch, called “La Clé Du Temps,” which means “the key of time.” Believe it or not, you can actually speed up and slow down time on the dial.
The watch dial, to tell the time, is on the upper right of the dial. The lower left of the dial is a power reserve indicator (looks like 5 days worth in the manually wound movement), and above it is the selector for speeding up for slowing down the time. This is where it gets interesting, and Hublot has clearly changed the format of the dial a bit from the previous watch. Using a crown on the left of the watch you can alter the time to run fast or run slow. A fun, but gimmicky way of “controlling time.” The neat part is that the movement always retains knowledge of the correct time – so you can always switch it back to “normal” mode and the time isn’t all screwed up.
The watch is part of the exclusive Hublot Confrerie range and will release in March 2011.

In their latest collaboration luxury watch maker Hublot gets together with legendary Swiss Alp night club GreenGo. The club inside the Gstaad Palace Hotel has hosted parties for the likes of Roger Moore, Elizabeth Taylor, Princess Diana, Michael Jackson ove the years.
“To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Greengo, the Gstaad Palace and Hublot have teamed up to create a Big Bang in the colours of the club – with a Black Magic base featuring the two famous green and orange colours – in an edition of just 40 pieces (for 40 years), available only from the Gstaad Palace. Our nod to history: the Greengo logo takes its place on the dial instead of the index at 8 o’clock… or at 40 mins, representing 40 years of legendary parties. The presentation will be on 7 January 2011; at the Greengo, naturally! It promises to be accompanied an epic, glorious celebration.”

Ayrton Senna would have turned 50 this year and Hublot celebrates the occasion with the release of the King Power Ayrton Senna and King Power Troubillon Ayrton Senna. Both watches are almost entirely made with materials also used in the Formula 1 and used the Brazilian flag colors for accents. The watch was officially revealed during the Sao Paolo Grand Prix this week and comes limited to 500 pieces, with the Tourbillon version only coming limited to 10. We love the carbon fiber case of the watch and the special split second button.

ECAL (Ecole Cantonale de L’Art de Lausanne) student Jacques-Elie Ribeyron presents his master project of the Mas-Lux program, a mix of industrial and luxury design. The designer created two projects in collaboration with Swiss watch maker Hublot – a knife set and a razor set.
Inspired by the materials and looks of Hublot watches, Jacques-Elie Ribeyron presents some more unusual products with Hublot branding.
The two projects have won the Prix d’exellence at ECAL and we could not agree more.

Yesterday we gave you a first look at this exciting new collaboration between mastermind Japan and Swiss watchmaker Hublot. They worked on the Big Bang model of the brand. Knowing mastermind, anything but an all black watch with logo placement would have been a huge surprise. The logo appears on the dial, as well as the back of the case.
