The full 2010 lineup from Burton’s design-oriented sub label iDiom hit the web today. Usual suspects such as the 3L jacket, Continuum down jacket, and Insulator jacket return with updated construction and new colorways. Also seen this is season are a 5L jacket, a hooded soft shell and several snow pant styles. Each piece comes in several colors with grey, purple, black and pink being the dominant palette. First pieces of the iDiom 2010 Collection have been released in Japan. Last season iDiom presented mostly black/green product, next season’s color palette mainly includes black and pink/magenta. Today we give you a first look at the iDiom 2010 luggage, offering a duffle bag and a backpack.

Both pieces feature robust black canvas uppers with pink iDiom logo placements. In line with thebrand’s philosophy only the best materials were used, while keeping an overall clean look. Functionality of course plays a major part in the collection, and is also key in both the duffle bag and the backpack. Both pieces are now available from UCS.

We get a first look at the iDiom 2010 Collection and we are very pleased with what we see. The grey/purple and blank/pink color combinations are very strong and also the styles and silhouettes are looking really good. We were not big fans of last seasons green range, but the brand is back in full effect this coming winter.

“Hiroshi Fujiwara is the real Creative Director behind iDiom. I’m more or less the Art Director. For 2010, Hiroshi wanted to do a muted “stealthy” collection. Somewhat inspired by military themes, but not talking “camo” and “jungle”. More like “Ghost Recon” meets “Stealth Bomber” military. So the outside look of iDiom 2010 is very flat, matte and monochrome. The insides are all very bright and contrasting. The cuts and fits are all new as well. Not as baggy as other snowboarding clothes. More of a natural fit.” Jeff Staple in a mashKULTURE Interview.

Honeyee has released a new feature, an interview between the people of FYI and Hiroshi Fujiwara. FYI develops the Burton AK collection and Hiroshi Fujiwara is in charge of the iDiom line. They talk about the difference of the two lines and how the AK line is about function and technology versus iDiom being about function and fashion.

After giving you several previews of the collection and showing a few pieces in detail, we can finally show you the complete iDiom Fall/Winter 2008 collection, designed this season by Staple Design and Fragment Design.
The collection offers down jackets, vets, shell jackets, matching pants, gloves and of course also a board.

First pieces of the iDiom Fall/Winter 2008 collection have been released at Japanese retailers. The first drop includes the packable down vest and down jacket. Both come in a black and green colorway, quilted, and feature all the technical details that one would expect from the brand.
These pieces are now available at Shaft.

Frontlineshop was one of the first in Europe to carry brands such as FUCT and XLarge in the beginning of the 90’s. They are still around and have grown to be a powerplayer in the online fashion retailing world.
In the meantime they have created the Selected Department on their site, introducing exactly these brands again, that they start with in the first place and many other of your favorite streetwear brands.

Finally we can give you a pretty complete look at the new Idiom 2009 collection after showing you a little part some time ago. This is the first collection that is designed in cooperation by Staple Design and Fragment Design, whereas before only Fragment Design worked on it.
Several times we have already announced that the line has been inspired by nature and the environment overall. Thus the new collection mostly comes in green, white and black. Just like in previous seasons, they offer a range of hard shell jackets and a couple of insulators and down jackets. Each jacket also has matching pants, in case you actually want to use it for its real purpose, for snowboarding. Nice details include leaf camouflage inner linings and patterns.
Next to the clothing they also offer hardgoods in the line. Here we can unfortunately only show you the board and not yet the bindings and boots.
