Yesterday we presented the upcoming collaboration between In4mation and Vans on the Chukka Low ‘Rattles’, the snakeskin covered skate shoe. Well, since the 200 pairs that will drop next Friday, January 13th, will fly off of the shelves in no time, we want to make that you still get your pair and therefore will give away a couple of them.

This time we wanted to try out something else, so we will give away the sneakers via Instagram.

In order to enter the contest you have to follow @in4mationhawaii and @highsnobiety on Instagram. Next you have to post a picture on Instagram of “Why you should win these shoes” and tag the picture with #in4mcontest, @highsnobiety, @in4mationhawaii.

Of all the submissions, winners will be chosen at random. Winners will be announced next Friday, January 13th, 2012.

Today we can give you an exclusive first look at the upcoming collaboration between Vans and In4mation. The Vans Chukka Low ‘Rattles’ come with an all over snakeskin print, which is an interesting contrast on this otherwise classic skate shoe. Nothing distracts from the clean snake upper. Logos and theme of the collaboration are only featured on the in-sole.

Limited to only 200 pairs, the sneaker will release on January 13th, 2012, at the new retail / gallery space by In4mation, called The Human Imagination. Very few pairs will also be going into the official In4mation online store.

In4mation/The Human Imagination releases a limited Starter snapback hat only found at The Human Imagination retail showroom/art gallery located in the historic Downtown Honolulu arts district. Classic “HI” logo all day.

Tomorrow In4mation will be releasing the ‘Endless Bummer’ New Era Caps. Overall the series consists of three colorways, featuring their trademark ‘hi’ embroidery on the front. The caps will release at their newest store, The Human Imagination, In4mation Pearl Ridge and their online store.

During the early 1900’s a large mixture of cultures and races became the first plantation workers imported to Hawaii to work in the hot climate and sugar fields. Similar to America, all ethnic groups brought their culture and religion where it was also learned by the rest of the minority groups. The result was a form of language called Pidgin English.

After generations of hardship the Hawaiians endured the people and the culture have emerged as a singular harmonious culture The Hawaiian people still endure The Plantation mentality where the meaning of hard work, sharing, having a open mind, and family life is still passed on after generations of our people to look out for one another, respect the elders and locals of the area.

The Matix x In4mation Capitol collection is a tribute to the hard work and adaptation of the Hawaiian people and its culture.

In4mation teams up with Freewaters for a limited sandal (slipper in Hawaii,) featuring a bottom sole detail that leaves a “Respect Locals” imprint in the sand.

“At In4mation, through our travels and an open mind we want to respect human life and the natural surrounding and environment in the world we all live in and share. At Freewaters, respecting locals means with every pair sold providing clean drinking water for one person for one year.”

In4mation once again teamed up with G-Shock and presents for Summer 2011 the GLX-6900 is a refreshing colorway. Featuring a red/green strap and bright yellow case, the watch dial features the In4mation logo, matching the backlight of the watch. Look out for a release May 2011.

In their latest collaboration In4mation teams up with iconic strip club Rock-Za on Hawaii. This is only the first release in a series of t-shirts and coasters, featuring some of the fine women of the club. In4mation will be celebrating the collaboration tomorrow night with an event at Rock-Za.

In4mation will release a special “Black Friday” edition of their iconic “Hi” New Era Cap. The cap comes all in black, including the front and back embroideries, resulting in an overall clean look. The cap will be released on November 26th.
