ASAP Rocky Goes High Fashion for Interview Magazine

Interview Magazine has caught up with ASAP Rocky for its February 2012 issue. The rapper is all over the place right now and keeps on gaining momentum. Just recently we reported about him making the cover of Complex Magazine.

Here we can show you now some images from the Interview Magazine story, featuring the rapper in the latest high fashion has to offer, ranging from Givenchy to Rick Owens and Comme des Garcons. We like the ‘Comme des FuckDown’ cap and beanie from the shoot, which released years ago from SSUR under his The Cut label. We reported about it in 2007 here. Love that!

Interview Magazine: Waka Flocka Flame Talks To Tyler The Creator

Interview Magazine: Waka Flocka Flame Talks To Tyler The Creator

Interview Magazine presents a new feature on Tyler The Creator of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. There is a lot of hype surrounding the group at the moment, with Tyler being at the very core of it. Interview music editor Dimitri Ehrlich and rapper Waka Flocka Flame talk to Tyler about music, anger, the definition of Odd Future and their style of music and a lot more.

“FLAME: I’m sure you know people say y’all’s lyrics are dark or are negative. What do y’all think fans should get when they walk away from listening to y’all’s music?

TYLER: Well, our fans relate to our music, but most of the time the people who say that our music is dark and weird and shit like that—it doesn’t relate to them so they judge it based on what shocks them the most instead of the whole project. So the fans walk away as fans who are relatin’ to the shit, knowin’ what the fuck I’m talkin’ about, and then the other people can just sit there and claim what we’re doing is dark and Satanist or other bullshit that I don’t even like readin’ about. Because I’ll be readin’ shit where peo- ple say, “He’s not lyrical, and rap is supposed to be lyri- cal and have passion,” and I’m sitting there like, “He’s rappin’ about his life and how he misses his brother [on the song “Nightmare” from Goblin]. How is that not passionate?” But I guess those people just don’t relate to anything we’re saying, so they’re quick to judge.”

Interview Magazine | Michael Pollock Talks to Theophilus London

Interview Magazine published an interview with Theophilus London, entitled “Theophilus London. Hip Hop’s Newest Name (And What A Name!)”. He was interviewed by Michael Pollock and they talk about his musical background, travel, corporate and brand partnerships and more.

MICHAEL POLLOCK: When did you start performing music?

THEOPHILUS LONDON: I started performing music about the age of 16. I lived in Brooklyn, New York, and this thing called the Flatbush Fair comes once a year. That was my first time on stage. First of all, I was overdressed, so that’s why every day of my life I dress down as a motherfucker. I was overdressed, and I wasn’t standing right. I was nervous as fuck and got booed. I even got booed on BET once. Fuck BET. It’s the worst channel of all time. I got booed on BET, but now it’s awesome to come to Austin and even go to Europe and all around the world.

POLLOCK: Just from following your Twitter, I know you’ve been traveling a lot, mostly recording.

LONDON: Yeah, I went to Stockholm a bunch to work on the album and to LA. So it was LA then Stockholm; LA then Stockholm; LA, Stockholm. That’s what it’s been. I went to Jamaica on my own. I went to Trinidad and Tobago just to go to Fashion Week over there. I went to Japan last year. I went to Korea last year. This is all based off the strength of my brand relationships and the fact that I love to travel. And it’s not going to stop. I went through two passports last year, full.”

Megan Fox by Craig McDean for Interview Magazine

Megan Fox was shot by Craig McDean for the new June/July 2010 issue of Interview Magazine.

“Photographed by Craig McDean, Megan dons a stern bob as she does a tango with her undressed doppelganger mannequin. Wearing pieces from Lanvin, Calvin Klein, Nina Ricci and others, Fox makes a pretty convincing model in this risqué spread.”
