Robbo talks to Juxtapoz about graffiti, his ongoing feud with Banksy, and his return to the art world.

I ordered a Budweiser and anxiously looked at my mobile. It was 7:50pm on a Friday night and Robbo has agreed to meet me at the Princess of Wales pub in Primrose Hill, London*. This friendly little pub was filled to the rafters with people who had gathered to watch the world cup on the two TV screen at either end of the bar. I didn’t have a good view of the entrance so I grabbed my drink and went outside where I was quickly joined by Robbo – a huge stature of a man with shaved head, a white ‘Team Robbo’ tee-shirt which he had designed himself, shorts and trainers. I spent the next few hours learning more about this old school graffiti legend who has been thrust back into the spotlight. –Helen Soteriou

Nike Snowboarding’s Aries 2010 project celebrates the history of snowboarding. Tim Brodhagen caught up with all the principals involved in the exhibition (Michael Hernandez, Trevor Graves, and Terry Kidwell) to get the full scope. The first Undefeated for Converse Poorman Weapon shoe launched exactly one year ago today, January 24, 2009, in black. It was then followed-up with an olive version in May 2009 as UNDFTD’s celebration of US Armed Forces Day. This is the third installment of the shoe in navy that features the same bomber jacket nylon upper, removable velcro logos and orange lining. Again, the midsole carries an UNDFTD logo and the overall look is perfect. This time around the sneaker is accompanied by both a matching MA-1 Flight Jacket and Flight Helmet Bag.

The navy UNDFTD for Converse Poorman Weapon shoes launch globally on January 29, 2010.

Adidas usually does not communicate very much the designers behind their product, unless we are speaking about a high profile collaboration, like we have seen recently with Jeremy Scott. The adidas aZX range has been keeping us busy for a while now and some incredible product resulted in the collection.

Here we present you now an interview with Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler, the designers and pattern makers of the adidas ZX range. It’s very interesting getting some background on the design, as well as the construction of the range.

Towards the end of the movie, the two talk about the last two models to be released in the aZX range, the Z and the X, which have been hand made by th team of Markus and imagined by Markus and Jacques together. Make sure to check it out!

This year, the Stussy tribe has increased its retail presence, hooking up with noted local retailers in each of the new cities. These Chapter Stores continue the unique aspect of Stussy culture that merges the local with the global. They also represent cities that have grown in stature within the “streetwear” community in recent years. This growth is due, in large part, to the efforts of a few people who’ve worked to change the retail landscape of those places.
Over the course of the next couple of weeks we will present you in-depth looks at the most recent Stussy Chapter Store openings and the people that are behind the respective stores.

In Washington, DC, COMMONWEALTH founder Omar Quiambao is that person. His vision has taken DC retail away from it’s traditional core, and transformed a stretch of Florida Avenue into a streetwear mecca. I spoke to him about the Stussy Chapter store and how it fits with the city and his other shops.

The Think Silly crew has uploaded an interview with A Bathing Ape founder Nigo. They mainly talk about international expansion, as well as taking the Bape events international, after the recent success of the Bape Heads Show in Hong Kong.
Nigo also mentions, that the Busy Workshop in London, will be transforming into a large scale Bape flagship store in the near future. Something to be looking out for!
