Isetan will be releasing this exclusive soft colored checkered pattern Head Porter collection consisting of 5 items. As you can see here, a couple of different wallets, a pouch, an iPad pouch and iPad case will be offered at the Japanese retailer.

In an interesting collaboration, Leica has produced a limited edition version of the V-LUX 30 camera with Japanese designer Kunio Okawara for Isetan Men’s Residence. “Kunio Okawara is a mechanical designer in the Japanese anime industry. A mechanical designer is similar to a character designer, but the design is for robots, ships, and other mechanical items found in a particular show. Okawara was the first in the industry to be specifically credited as a mechanical designer.” Gundam is just one of the things that he has worked on in the past.

In an interesting collaboration deparment store Isetan Men’s has teamed up with Bedwin & The Heartbreakers on a small capsule suit collection. The elegant, yet casual suits come in dark grey. They offer two types of suits, one coming with 3/4 pants. The most interesting feature is for sure the inside pocket construction of the blazers, which feature dedicated pockets for credit cards, digital camera and everything else one could need on the go. The suits have been released at Isetan Men’s this past week.

The new vinyl Bearbrick by Medicom debuts in its first collaboration for the new year. Coming with a Christmas theme in a glittery metallic look, the soft vinyl toy is a collaboration with Japanese department store Isetan. It will be released January 4th.

Ace Hotel and Japanese retailer Isetan Shinjuku are curating a pop-up shop for the holidays. Ace Hotel is in Seattle, Portland, Palm Springs, and New York. Culture, collaborations, and a design aesthetic that mixes uncluttered comfort with a bohemian vibe are Ace’s trademark—informed by each city’s sense of place. From November 18th until November 24th, visvim will set up a temporary F.I.L. shop-in-shop at Japanese department store Isetan Men’s. The store will carry the visvim Fall/Winter 2009 Collection, along with some nice specials.

Recently we reported about the Converse collaborations with Number (N)ine, Libertines and Mastermind, as well as Thom Browne, that are part of a special Converse 100th anniversary initiative with Japanese department store Isetan.

Today the exhibition started at Isetan, showcasing the sneakers, as well as putting them on sale. For this special collaboration, the people from Clearbox have not only designed special boxes for each sneaker, but have also put together the stage display at Isetan.

A couple of weeks ago we reported about the Bape pop-up store that is opening inside the Isetan department store in Japan. For the occasion Bape has produced a number of limited edition items, that will only be available in the pop-up store. The store opens tomorrow and will stay open until December 2nd.

The series includes Panda-, Shark- and Tiger full zip hoodies, as well as a new Cow full zip hoodie, that also comes with a cow pattern on the front pockets. Furthermore they presents a series of overall seven t-shirts. In terms of cut-and-sew items, they offers a western shirt, technical snowboard jacket and a down vest. Last but not least a Milo plush key ring is also part of the capsule collection. A plaid theme runs through the entire collection.

Bape is celebrating their 15th anniversary this year and Isetan, the Japanese high end department store chain, is celebrating their 75th anniversary. For the occasion, Isetan will be hosting a temporary Bape pop-up store inside its Tokyo flagship store. The store will be open from November 26th until December 2nd.
