After having worked together the first time last season, J.Crew and New Balance present three new colorways of the 1400 running shoe for Spring 2011. Next to a solid light grey suede version, they also present a black suede/orange logo colorway and our personal summer favorite is the above orange suede colorway. These are arriving now at J.Crew stores.

J.Crew presented their new Spring 2011 Collection this week. The brand continues to go from the strengths to strengths and once again presents a very solid offering of clothing and footwear for the coming season.

The New Balance for J.Crew collection features a favorite NB silhouette in two unique suedes: the first, a new-to-NB navy and the second a moss green, both made from domestically tanned leathers at New Balance’s own factory in Skowhegan, Maine. The limited edition 1400s will be part of the exclusive line at the J.Crew Men’s Shop at The Liquor Store in Manhattan as well as the new J.Crew Men’s Shop in Copley Plaza, Boston starting early November 2010 and will retail for $130.00. They will also be available online at J.Crew.com and sold in the J. Crew catalog.

New Balance and J.Crew join forces on a Made-in-the-USA sneaker collection for Holiday 2010. Built on New Balance’s 1400 silhouette, the New Balance for J. Crew collection was designed, developed, and made in New Balance’s Maine factory. The release features two unique colorways of the 1400 sneaker in premium suede, with domestically tanned leathers from premium Made-in-USA partners in an on-going effort to support local American manufacturers, as reported by Selectism.

J. Crew  worked with Timex once again on a new white-faced version of their popular military watch. “Based on an iconic 1940s military style from the Timex archives (and only available here), we gave it a new, subtly distressed off-white dial face, Arabic numerals and an olive-toned watch strap. In an interesting collaboration J.Crew has worked with Monocle magazine, but this time a little different. The Monocle staff acted as models for the new J.Crew Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Included in the shoot are Monocle editor-in-chief Tyler Brulee, Alexander Mills, Andrew Tuck, Robert Bound, Takeharo Sato, Saul Taylor, Tom Morris and Yoshitsugu Takagi. Also a letter by Tyler Brulee and interviews with all participants is included, resulting in an overall round production.
