This is a piece designed for his fans and supporters who knew of his accomplishments before February 2006 and those that have grown to appreciate his genius. Here, we gain a greater insight and understanding about our musical icon.

Part one of a three part documentary on J Dilla. On Saturday Febuary 13th, 2010 to celebrate the life of brilliant hip hop producer and rapper James “J Dilla” Yancey, Stussy is releasing a limited edition tee shirt produced in conjunction with Stones Throw and the Dilla Estate. For the release, Stussy is holding “Dilla Day” events at some of their North America Stores.
Stussy and Stones Throw Records have partnered for Raph Rashid’s classic pic of J Dilla on an official licensed, limited-edition t-shirt. This will be released February 13, 2010 in white and black, available at stonesthrow.com and Stussy locations.

The music video for “24K Rap” off of J. Dilla’s latest release, Jay Stay Paid has been released. This is the first time NYC legends Havoc and Raekwon have ever been in a video together, so why not film it at Alife Rivington Club?! Store manager Jesse Villaneuva makes an appearance as the hostage, while several products we’ve featured on the site – such as Mr. Cartoon’s LIVESTRONG Air Force 1s – make cameos. Check it out!
Obey has produced a commemorative J Dilla print limited to 400 pieces, to remember the death of the music producer and to help his mother “Ma Dukes” out with her medical bills. 50 prints will be released at a charity event on February 22nd in Los Angeles. The print goes for 55 USD. Via Mashkulture.
