We present you the upcoming releases of Converse Japan. Once again the brand did minimal changes to their classic silhouettes, resulting in some great footwear and once again we regret that these styles will not make it over to us.

Most interesting in this new drop are the All Star Upside-Mono Hi and Lo, featuring Converse branding and toe cap matching the upper color. The result is a very clean looking sneaker in both cases. They come in several fresh colorways. The Jack Purcell also comes in some great colorways, featuring camouflage patterns and exotic leather uppers.

A great new Jack Purcell has been released by Converse. Entitled “Straw Hat”, the Jack Purcell comes with a woven straw upper in black, giving it a solid and premium look. Along with the great vintage shoe box, this is a nice release. The Converse Jack Purcell “Straw Hat” is now available at Undefeated.

The Converse Jack Purcell comes in the form of a slip-on this season and features a “dirty” pattern all-over the canvas upper. It will come in lime green, black and white and is now available at Mita.

The classic Converse Jack Purcell is back in a perforated patent leather version. The sneaker comes in both black and white and features an embossed logo on the tongue. Look out for a release soon. Via Dunk.com.cn.

An interesting new Jack Purcell High comes from a collaboration between Converse and Ozzy Osbourne. Inspired by a straight jacket, the sneaker comes in beige canvas and features a series of brown leather straps on the front and on the heel. A small graphic and Ozzy signature appears on the heel.

For Spring 2009, Converse once again releases some special styles, exclusive to J.Crew. The distressed Jack Purcell comes in two colorways – navy blue and white. An instant classic, the sneaker is now available online here and also in the J.Crew Liquor Store in NYC.

The classic Jack Purcell by Converse is coming this Spring 2009 season in a special make-up, entitled Triple V, because of its three velcro straps. Here we present it in a metallic silver colorway. Look out for these to land in stores soon.

Ubiq received some great models out of the Converse Spring 2009 collection. The Jack Purcell comes in two check colorways, looking very similar to what we have seen in previous seasons from Comme des Garcons. They also released a Jack Purcell Mid Velcro, featuring four velcro straps. Most interesting is the new Sea Star, a boat shoe inspired sneaker, coming in a solid navy blue/herringbone colorway.

Working with the theme of traditional crafts, Converse Japan has released the Jack Purcell “Nagasaki Bekko”, which is the Nagasaki turtle shell. The pattern of the shell has been replicated on the upper of the sneakers.

Not only Mastermind Japan, Number (N)ine and Libertines worked with Converse, also NYC designer Thom Browne participates in the 100th anniversary celebrations. He worked on the Jack Purcell and gave it a great woven upper. The lining comes in suede, sole and toe cap in white, keeping an overall clean look.

This is definitely one of our favorite collaborations so far in the collection. Via CF.
